Dec 23rd-31st Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Since my parents were going to come and spend the night on Christmas Eve, I always like to have a special gift for them. Last year, we made them pillow cases. This year, we decided to make a shirt for my dad for Sunday! It was so fun to make and the kids loved coloring it with the special markers! We used a template I had found off of pinterest for one of the sides, but then changed it up a bit for the other side. We added a McDonalds and a police station. It was really fun to make! Who knows if he uses it, but it was fun to make!
We were supposed to go bowling with my parents for Christmas Eve, but it got too late to do anthing like that! We ended up getting food to go and played a few games on the new Wii U with my parents! It was fun to see my Mom play! I love the pictures with their new pajamas. They look so comfortable.
These next pictures are some from Christmas Morning. I didn't mean to put my photography name on any of these. Santa brought Elliot a little indoor slide! He is afraid to go down the slide, but loves his leap frog dog names Scout!
Don't you just love these? Elliot loves my Mom almost as much as My Mom loves him!
The kids like to pretend to roast marshmellows when we turn on the fireplace.
The traditional pictures with their loot! I say this every year, but we have got to stop spoiling our kids!
After we opened out presents, we rushed up to Hyde Park to celebrate up there! This is what our house looked like when we left! I really didn't want to come home to this!
On our drive to Logan, we saw this! At first, we had no idea what this was, but as we got closer, we saw that their front bumper was sitting inside their trunk! SO FUNNY!!!
We gave Jeff's Mom a Real Salt T-Shirt for Christmas. We have an inside joke with her. One year, while at Greys River, she kept talking about this salt. It just kept going and going....Now it is our joke! She loved it!
My Mom bought Jeff a popcorn maker for Christmas. She was so excited to actually find something that he could use and love to use! This was our first time using it!
One Morning, I woke up Carter and we went to Denny's for breakfast! It was so fun to have a date with this little man! He thought he was the funniest kid for ordering Root Beer for Breakfast! He makes life fun and interesting. I love him so much!
New Years Eve we met my Sister and her kids at Get Air here in Kaysville. It was the first time Aubrey had been here. She loved it! Carter got really sweaty and ran around with the big kids for most of the time!

Dec 16th-22nd
I love it when my kids will wear what I want them to wear!!! This sweater is the only way I can get Carter to wear a tie all church time! I wish he would wear it more often!
Aubrey had her first dance recital this week and she was so excited and did and excellent job! She danced to Frosty the Snowman! The girl next to her had no idea what she was doing and fell down next to her. I was impressed how well she did and that she could remember the dance so well! At one point in the song, she was to skip and lead the girls around the stage; she took off on cue and it took a while for the girls to follow her! It was an adorable dance! Grandma Susan had brought her a rose and was so excited! Grandpa Benson gave her a rose too and a Hello Kitty mini doll! It was fitting that my Dad was one of the first to give her her first flowers. He was the first to give me a flower as well!!!
This picture of Aubrey and her staticy hair is one of my favorites of her! She cracks me up! I am so glad I have only one daughter! She is hilarious!
We also took the kids to see the lights at Willard Bay with Jake, Kristin, and Cooper! It was so fun, but it was really cold. We went to see Santa and then we stood in line to get on the hay ride. The hay ride was cold, but was worth it! Poor Elliot didn't like sitting on Santas lap , but he didn't mind getting cold on the hay ride! KIDS ARE FUNNY SOMETIMES!
Thanks to Kristin for bringing her camera and sharing her pictures. With three kids, it is really hard to cart around my big camera!

Dec 9th-15th
We finally got all of our Christmas Decorations up and tried taking a picture of the kids for our Christmas card! It was hard to get a good one! Aubrey also got her dance costume for her dance recital next week. She loves it and wanted to prance around in it all day!
Aubrey is also getting really independent. She helps herself to the fridge and just pushes a chair over! She pretty much lives off of string cheese and go gurts!
The annual Jensen Family Christmas Party was great yet again! The famous white Elephant did not dissapoint at all! Well, I should clarify. My kids love this game. They get to open other peoples junk and then take it home with them! They love it! I on the other hand, could do without! But on the other hand, it does get entertaining sometimes! Like when Grandpa Jensen opens lingerie!!!

I also made a piniata for the party. I could only find a pirate piniata but had the brilliant idea to make change him into Santa with an eye patch!

Dec 2nd-8th
At Church one day, Carter was drawing a picture and he decided to take a different approach to drawing. He decided to show the ants underground by using the eraser on the pencil! He is so creative sometimes! He totally impressed me today!
We went to Fat Cats in Salt Lake for m Nephew Nicholas' birthday! He turned 3 and wanted to go bowling. We tagged along! This is where we went bowling the night Jeff and I met! We had to play a game of air hockey, which he kicked my butt. Just like he did the night we met! I seriously love this Man and I am so glad he insisted on playing again! SO FUN!!!
So the other day at my parents, Jeff was telling my brother that I like to watch him play this Batman Archam City game. He replied, Why because they men have their shirts off? Jeff replied, " No, I do!"
(Which he had never done before, but it was a funny joke) Well, later that night, after I was done reading with Carter, I walked into my bedroom and found Jeff playing Batman dressed as Batman; cape and all! I immediately had to take a picture and send it to my brother!!! Sometimes, I am afraid to walk into my bedroom, not knowing what I might find!!! I love my husband!
I was really impressed the other day, that Carter taught Aubrey how to color by numbers. I thought she did a really good job and following Carter! I love the moments that Carter teaches Aubrey stuff. He is getting so big! He is also reading really well right now. At night we have been reading books together.
The other day, before dinner, Aubrey and I were making snow flakes for our window. I was teaching her how to fold the paper and then cut out shapes to make different snowflakes. It was getting late and I told her that I was going to go start making dinner. A little later, she walked into the kitchen with that face of , " I think I might be in trouble". At first, I thought that she got hurt, but then I remembered she play using the scissors and for some reason, I looked at her hair. I just knew what she had done! I WAS SO MAD!! I don't think I handled it very well and I am sure I could have bee a little more loving. But we had only cut her hair once before!
The next day, we had to get a haircut. A short little bob for the girlie girl. Even though, she knew I was still mad at her; I think she enjoyed getting her hair cut!
And in the end, she looked really cute!

Nov 25th- Dec 1st: Seeing Santa
My Mom had watched the kids overnight one weekend and when we went to pick them up; Elliot would not let her go! He didn't even want to come to me! It was crazy! He had never done that! He loves my Mom so much!
We took the kids to visit Santa at the Mall after picking up the kids. The Santa there was awesome! He spent so much time there with them. I could just feel all of the people in line, getting antsy. He even joked with them and told Carter he probably wanted a doll! He also pretended to gets their names mixed up calling Carter Aubrey and Aubrey Elliot! They thought it was funny and couldn't stop talking about it!
Pulling out Daddy's video games is something all of our kids have done at this age. But Elliot LOVES to do it. Jeff has gotten better at letting the kids do it and then he takes the time to re-alphabetize them! I think he just likes to see all of his games; seeing as he doesn't have much time to play them anymore!
