Memories.....

I met Jeff 5 years ago tonight!Wow, it is crazy to think that I have only known Jeff for 5 years and I know him better than anyone in this world.

Five years ago....
I found out Jeff's favorite color was Pink
My stereotype of someone from Logan was proved wrong (he listened to rap and not country music)
I found out he was very competative.
I found out he wanted to become a lawyer.
I found out he was having a problem with a girl in Logan! (ha ha ha)
I found out his friends were really close.
I found out he didn't mind that I kissed him at midnight!
I found out he was good at bowling!
I found out he went to the Philippines on his mission.

But basically 5 years ago, my life changed forever!

At the stoke of midnight, my split decision to kiss him changed my life path and I couldn't be happier!

Thanks to Ryan Isrealsen and Amelia Leonard Williams for dating for a short while. If not, I never would have met Jeff!

Holiday Break Update 7: Go Aggies!

On Monday, Jeff took Carter up to Logan to go to an Aggie Basketball Game!
Carter was so excited; he wore his Aggie shirt and his new basketball pants!
They went to the game with Great Grandma and Grandpa Jensen, Grandma Susan, Grandpa Alan, and Connor!

Carter loves his uncle Connor! He always shares his snow cones!
Jeff, Carter and BIG BLUE!
Carter loved Big Blue and was cheering right along the rest of the crowd!
In the end, they had a blast! Aggies won by 40 points and Jeff was having a great time with just Carter! I was on call that night, thus the reason I did not go. But I did have some friends over to play some games and talk! Thanks girls! I can always count on you!

Earlier that morning, we took a picture with Carter and most of what he got for Christmas. There were a few small toys missing because they were bath toys the night before!

Aubrey ended up getting some stuff too!!! She is going to be spoiled rotine when she finally gets here!
Although, this was my favorite present for her! Thanks Chris and Tiffiney!

Holiday Break Update 6: Snow Day

I was so glad that we decided to just camp out at my parents house becasue my brother and his family also spent the night on Friday and Saturday. Saturday Morning we all woke up and decided to go play in the snow. Playing in the snow is so much better when there is a lot of people. My Mom dug into her closet and found some old snow pants that fit us when we were all much more skinnier, but we made due!
My Brother Todd and his daughter Sydney came out with us. Jeff was in charge of pictures, since he didn't have any boots! I had to coax Carter to get on the old sled. It looked kind of dangerous!
It was a good thing that Carter went first and then Sydney. If he saw Todd doing this with Sydney; he for sure would not have gotten on!
She did eventually fall off!
Then we decided to make snow angels! Carter had seen Goofy and Max do snow angels in popcorn the other night while watching Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas. We only had to show him once what to do and he loved it, Rosey cheeks and all!

I decided to do one too, but I had to have Todd help me up. I didn't want to ruin my angel trying to get up!!!!
This could end up a black mail photo, but who has a picture of themselves 7 mo. pregnant and playing in the snow; with snow pants that only go up to your thighs! I think our Angels turned out quit nice!

Holiday Break Update 5: The Festivities Begin

We started Christmas Eve off with the Ball's Family Christmas Party at the Hyde Park Civic Center. We ate, had talents (which Susan and I sang and My face went really red), had a $5 gift exchange and then opened gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Balls! Carter got two pairs of pants and two shirts, Jeff got a pair of much needed jeans, and I got this....

Jeff made up the difference, since he left my Christmas gift home!
Later that night, we got to open our first gift! (Jammies)

Here we are sporting our new Jammies! Carter got Micky Mouse Club House, I got Dr. Pepper pants and Jeff got Mario pants!
December 25th 2008: We woke up Carter at 8:00 and he was so excited to go open his gifts. It took him a while to wake up, but when we finally let him go look at the front room. He came running. He even fell down with all of the excitement and made us all laugh. (I will try to post the video, but it is on our video camera. Which is a longer process to download and upload on to here).
He was so excited to get his view finder and his kung fu panda pics; along with Cars!
I don't know who was more excited about this next gift. Santa was able to find DJ. The car from the movie Cars. It had to come with two other cars Carter had, but it was only $10 compared to the $34 on Amazon for DJ alone. He seemed excited!

This is the only picture we took of all three of us on Christmas. I sure wish we could have taken one with all of our new clothes and our hair done. I love Jeff's little sticky outy hairs on the side!
He has wacky hair sometimes! Carter loved the viewfinder!
He also loved this Helmet Hero that Grandma Susan bought for him! It is really cool and he will play it all day if I let him. All I need to do is buy one for Jeff and the two of them can run around driving together.
Carter became so tired of sitting on the floor; he had to try out Daddy's new Chair!
Around 1:00 we headed up to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's for lunch. It was really yummy food! Especially since Susan made the rolls. I think I ate 3 or 4 of them. We had a little car trouble too! We wanted to get on the road while it had stopped snowing, since it had been snowing all morning and was supposed to start up again soon. I got a little frustrated because our car decided that it wasn't going to start any more. What a great time for the car not to work! I was so afraid that we weren't going to get to see my family on Christmas day! Luckily, Jeff has an uncle that knows a lot about cars and he fixed the problem and we were able to get to my Parents before the storm hit! (Thanks Kevin, You saved my Christmas)

Carter was so excited that he got to open more gifts! He got some clothes, a fire truck just like his cousin Zander, and a shopping cart for his new kitchen he got from Santa!
We tried leaving my parents that night, but got 5 min away and turned around. The roads were so bad, we knew we needed to go back. So we threw our clothes in the laundry and camped out for the next few days at my parents; seeing we were going to be there doing stuff with my family.

Holiday Break Update 4: The trip to Hyde Park

Last Monday after my doctor's appointment, we headed North to Hyde Park in the snow storm.
This picture was the first part of Sardine's Canyon. I was really glad that I was not driving!
This was in the middle of the canyon. We learned later that week that they canyon was closed earlier that morning and that around 1:20 there was no visibility. We got through the canyon around 1:30. There was a point that Jeff had no clue which way he was going. The wind was so strong and blowing snow all over us, we could not see a thing!
But we made it and had a ton of fun!
We first stopped at Chris and Tiffiney's house to say Hi.
They gave Carter a pokemon Ball with a key chain inside. He absolutely loved it.
If you don't believe me see for yourself;

Here are my pictures of being 7 months pregnant! Carter stuffed a bunch of tissue paper that we were throwing around from Kristin's Birthday. He wanted to pose with me!

Here is the best tissue fight ever! Thanks Jake for taking the hits from Carter!

Holiday Break Update 3: Party at the Balls' small apt.

The weekend before Christmas, it was my turn to be on Duty for the weekend. Since I could not go out to my Mom's for dinner; my family came to me.
My sister and her family and my parents joined us for some Homemade Pizza, Guitar Hero, and Homemade Peppermint Ice Cream.
For some reason, as soon as I start playing Guitar Hero; Carter has to be right there with me!
After dinner, My Dad whipped out his tools and fixed Jeff's laptop cord. The cord had a short in it and would not work unless you were holding it in the right spot. So my Dad to the rescue!
This is why I love my Dad. If something is broken; he can probably fix it!
He amazes me all of the time!
I really have no idea what he was doing, but he got it fixed and jimmy rigged! Hopefully it will last Jeff for one more semester. But usually when my Dad jimmy rigs anything; it lasts. (for example, when Jeff and i were engaged, Jeff was driving down from Logan one day and his first gear went out on his car. He barely made it all the way to my house. Again, Dad to the rescue.
A plastic piece had broken off and my Dad replaced it with some wire and it is still working to this day! Have I mentioned before that we need a new car?)

Holiday Break Update 2: The Extended Family Party

The Saturday before Christmas, we went over to my uncles' house for a Breakfast Christmas Party! We got some pictures taken, but Todd and Liz and Sydney were not in town yet; So this is not all of us! It was fun to see my cousins that growing up, we were unseperable!
Carter and Jeff played a game of ping pong downstairs. They are both really intent on their game!

Holiday Break Update 1: "The Celebration"

Last Friday before we left for the Holidays, we celebrated Jeff being done with this semester!
Carter thought it was cool we got to drink out of the nice glasses!
He could not get enough! He loved it! CHEERS!
He just guzzled it down, and said that it was "spicey" He calls carbonation Spicey!
Now, i think he has had enough. He looks drunk in this picture!

We also watched a movie and ate popcorn. We were trying to teach Carter to catch the popcorn in his mouth!

Have you ever done this?

Have you ever Mopped the floor with a Monkey on your back?
Don't worry, I was almost done when he actually got on. For the most part, he was just watching and standing behind me!

Snowed in!

The other day with all of the snow outside, Carter and I decided to stay in and play in the main Hall. (Although, I was trying to talk him into going out in the snow and playing, but he had different games in mind)

We raced cars, played soccer, Played baseball, golfed and pretended to go to school!

When Jeff got home from the court house, Carter took Jeff to his school; backpacks and all!
Later that night, Carter finally decided to go outside and play in the snow. He played until he was cold and I had to call Jeff to bring out the camera to capture his first time in the snow!
Right before this picture he had fallen in the snow and sat there until I could get him up. His favorite thing to do, is eat the snow! I tried to teach him to eat the good stuff, but you can't stop a kid from trying a bit here and a bit there!
We had fun, but we were only out there for 15 min.

But in 15 min, his cheeks still became Rosey!

It's Moments like these....

It's Moments like these that make my heart melt and love being a Parent!
I love watching Carter and Jeff interact.
Carter watches Jeff's every move and becomes like him more each day!
The two of them are my life!
I don't know what is going to happen when another girl is thrown in the mix.

Then things did get a little calmer, but he stuck to Jeff's side all night.

We see YOU!

Friday night, we got a web call from our friend Chris and Tiffiney. Carter just loved being able to see Chris and talk to him. Even though Chris couldn't see him, we got some pictures of what Carter was doing while we were talking to them.
Carter was copying everything Chris was doing. They even ate popcorn together.
Here is the end of the phone call!
