Came across these words and they have both been a reminder and encouragement to me.
Many times throughout this transition season, i have been so caught up feeling anxious with wanting to do...to do this and that...to take up a part-time here and there maybe......to try out this and that ...so much so that i've lost perspective of times like these.


Time to pause, be still and reflect:
Times of preparation for all that's ahead.
Times of thanksgiving
Times of rebonding
Times of realigning my priorities and strengthening my focus.
Times of refreshing.

Let's go to the zoo!!

The last time i visited the zoo was five years back. It's not the most fantastic place to visit but i reckon every person needs to visit the zoo at least once in their entire childhood.
Recently we heard that they were refurbishing the place, so we decided to check it out with the kids from church....

Conclusions:-

1)Not much has changed since the last time we were there. Looks like the refurbishment is taking a long time.
2)The animals were as lethargic as before.
3)Our Zoo Negara is still in a depressing state.

Let the games begin!

The countdown is on and by now atheletes from all over should have arrived in Beijing for the big day tomorrow. Despite the hoo-ha about boycotting the games because of the political strives, the issues on human rights in Sudan and the recent calamities, i think China has come a long way in making this right, a success.

I, personally am hoping tomorrow's opening night would be a bang. To alot of people, especially the Chinese, the Beijing Olympics is both huge and emotional. I know for one, my grandparents have been talking about this for the longest time and to them it's a milestone for China. It's an event, at least what i think, would allow the Chinese people to be hopeful again after all that has happened in the past.

Movie Marathon

When...

1) You're on a long break and
2) There's no one to bum with and
3) You don't want to spend alot of $$$

This is one of those things i'll end up doing...watch movies. Old movies.

4) Yea, the first three movies have one thing in common. Classroom scenes (and they are all super tear-jerking-inspirational kind of movies). And and, they are all good movies.
Can't seem to get enough of these.
