  left the theater wishing i had gotten to spend more time with the mickeys. would watch a 3.5 hr director’s cut to actually explore the unresolved subplots. super cute, loved the characters. enjoyable (if a bit heavy handed) commentary, but i love all the standard fare cyberpunk archetypes. 

  and, at the risk of sounding like “guy who has only seen altered carbon” this is, in fact, just like altered carbon

  stunning visuals and beautifully unsettling simmering tension for most of the film. plot was a bit thin and the ending was kinda cheap and too abrupt for my taste but i was too immersed in a dark academia erotic thriller fantasy to really care. also, you can always count on barry koeghan to play the fuck out of a twisted little freak.
