For fourty percent of the movie, it's a well written slapstick style and other whatever style comedy that is lighthearted and fun.

I'm Still Here 2024
A bit overpolished, and some of the film-language choices felt tacky until their emotional impact was revealed in the third fact. Still can read as cheaply distributed emptiness (I'm talking about the intercut use of Super-8) but I felt it served its purpose well.
Very glad this won best International Film, Fernanda Torres should've been higher on the list for best actress in the eyes of the public because her performance is quite moving and tender.

I liked it. I don’t think everything was perfect, like I think some of the storylines and plot additions were trite or boring (read: the sa scene in the third was a bit unnecessary and added very little if not negative commentary).
However, I enjoyed the flawed nature of everything. What is obviously best is the segmentation of this into three short stories, all connected by an undercurrent of (almost?) absurdism.
