The most whimsical movie I’ve seen in years. This movie has modern/pop culture allusions, but at its core it’s entirely steeped in the style of traditional animation (much like Ren and Stimpy reflected on earlier animation of another era). The animators and screenwriters put their soul into this movie and it shows, it’s very clever. The only thing that I can say was negative was I think it could restructure some of its first act storytelling, other than that I did not expect to love it.

Mickey 17 2025
It’s as quirky as Snowpiercer and better than Moon. Robert Pattinson does a performance that really shows his range and doesn’t come off as cheesy despite the setting’s over the topness.
The film doesn’t take itself too seriously, but does make for a good drama and is generally entertaining. It seems that Bong Joon Ho never needs to film “outside” to necessarily make an enticing story (although yes… they do film outside).

Waking Ned Devine 1998
A great lighthearted film about community and friendship (and illegality), but I feel like it ends a little too soon. It needs one final tense scene or an epilogue.

The Testaments 2000
Even as a member I can only give this film 3 stars. I like what they were going for and think good effort was put into it, but it suffers in a lot of places especially the script. No one in it is very interesting but it does have some good vibes.
