    I liked this one even more than After Blue. 

    I wanna go to HRT island. If anyone knows a smarmy captain with one boob, please get me in contact with them. 

    Since I can only talk about art through comparison, it’s like if genderfuck Clockwork Orange took place on the island from Matango, but with hairy fruits that make you have pronouns  and massive loads just dripping off/out of everything imaginable.

    I remember wanting to watch this back in high school when the American movie came out. I remember pretending to have seen it for hipster cred in college. Now, I’ve finally seen it!

    I enjoy the vibes of this version a lot. It’s very melancholic and foreboding. It’s genuinely hard for me to judge this, because of the astronomical impact it had on horror, and the cultural weight it continues to carry.

    This movie feels like the definitive moment that Godzilla fully evolved into camp. Gone are the days of somber reflections about the horrors of atomic wars. This movie is goofy.
