Since I can only talk about art through comparison, it’s like if genderfuck Clockwork Orange took place on the island from Matango, but with hairy fruits that make you have pronouns and massive loads just dripping off/out of everything imaginable.
I remember wanting to watch this back in high school when the American movie came out. I remember pretending to have seen it for hipster cred in college. Now, I’ve finally seen it!
I enjoy the vibes of this version a lot. It’s very melancholic and foreboding. It’s genuinely hard for me to judge this, because of the astronomical impact it had on horror, and the cultural weight it continues to carry.

You have a constant barrage of silly looney toons slapstick gags, but they act like building blocks in an ever increasing playground of off the wall sight gags that build off each other and interact with each other in increasingly complex and hilarious ways.
