Chronicle is told in a found footage style. Warden goes further and is told in a documentary style and while not bad, didn't fully pull me in like Chronicle. The documentary style creates a conflict where its presented as news to consume but is also talking about super powers.

The Electric State 2025
I've been following the art that inspired this movie for a long time but was rather disappointed by the kid-like tone of this movie. It's more Wall-E than Ex Machina. It's more Transformers than Minority Report. The world building here makes it something just barely interesting enough to want to know what happens next. The characters and story are eye-rollingly bland. Passable.
