Last Breath 2025
Slow start but got me on the edge of my seat eventually. Solid flick that is judged a bit too harshly imo. Good acting performances by whole cast. Last leg of the movie was just a bit too slow-paced.

The Brutalist 2024
It’s been a long time I saw a film that’s so pretty. The budget was under 10 million which is just insane.
My only gripe is that I don’t agree with all the script choices. But thematically and symbolically this film hits all the marks for me. Adrien Brody as a European Jew coming to a post-WW2 USA and failing to adhere to the assimilation that the USA demands of you. I hope he wins an oscar for this role.
But the person that most of all deserves an oscar is Brady Corbet. It should have gone to Villeneuve but he isn’t even nominated… alas

Sing Sing 2023
In its physical scope this film is small but grand in its emotional scope. I think the use of handheld camera for the majority of the film underlines this feeling of small yet grand. It just work for this film.
The score is minimalist and gives room for the acting performances that do carry the film. Colman Domingo was very very good and I was unfamiliar with Clarence Martin!
That everybody in the prison called each other Beloved is the cherry on top🍒
