    Lilo & Stitch

    ★★★½

With all the clips and posters for the new Lilo & Stitch popping up I had to make sure that the kids had seen the OG film. Turns out, I don't think I have, at least I didn't remember a lot of it...

Lilo & Stitch (2002) is a heartfelt and generally offbeat Disney film that stands out for its distinct animation style, quirky humor, and emotional depth. At its core, it’s a story about loneliness, found family, and unconditional love, wrapped…

    Frances Ha

    ★★★½

At first I didn't think I was going to like Noah Baumbach's Frances Ha, but after sticking with it its easy to see that its an endearing, free-spirited look at the aimlessness of young adulthood. That said, the pacing is where the film stumbles in my opinion. At over…

    Babygirl

    ★★½

Nicole Kidman get her freak on in Halina Reijn's Babygirl. Kidman delivers a committed performance but the film itself struggles to balance its own emotional weight and deeper themes while keeping a cohesive narrative. It's intriguing but not entirely new, and while there is tension and heartbreak it never digs deep enough to make anything resonate. Its not as fun as Bodies Bodies Bodies, but that's by design.

Kidman and Banderas are the powerhouses here, doing most of the heavy…
