  At points it's very hard to follow but something about this just stuck with me. Couldnt stop thinking about it for a while. Sheryl Lee is INCREDIBLE, she gives a legendary performance. But it doesn't feel right to really "enjoy" this film lol

  Was ready for this to be a pale shadow of the first two given the change in director, but I was pleasantly surprised. These movies have such whimsy and create the most lovely storybook environments. Love the art direction and the commitment of all these very serious actors to their very silly characters. Not as tear jerky as the first two but a worthy addition

  Really not leaving anything on the cutting room floor huh Francis

  I try to be pretty kind to any movie I see in theaters but this one felt like it was actively wasting my time and even with a-list that's the gravest crime a movie can commit

  Edit: I am compiling a list of unnecessary scenes/plot lines that go nowhere and should have been dropped:
  - The entire vestal virgins scene and subsequent scandal subplot
  - The mother scene
  - The scene where John Carlos Besito gives Adam Driver a red envelope
