  Some classic martial arts movie tropes in the opening stretches of this, nice early flashes of action and bully stare-downs and a fantastic mid-movie fight with proper action storytelling and an ebb and flow to it.   Was so looking forward to this. New Saulnier; neo-western one man against a corrupt small town; Don Johnson! And it delivers. The tension ratchets and ratchets, Aaron Pierre has real presence, and the action, when it comes, crunches. Great genre filmmaking.
