Contagion 2011
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Realistic, though impressionistic, tale of a world wide deadly epidemic. Some shortcuts in the second half, when the heroic Jennifer Ehle is testing out the flu vaccine on herself, and the (always) irritating Jude Law is blogging away his paranoia seemingly without any real content or even repercussions, but otherwise I liked the director’s merciless killing off of big Hollywood stars and lacking of traditional disease movie plot highlights a la Outbreak (1995) with Dustin Hoffman. Maybe not Soderbergh’s greatest masterpiece, but definitely worth your while.
