Christmas with the Kranks 2004
This movie really encapsulates some people’s cult-like attitude towards Christmas, like it’s written in the law that you have to celebrate a certain way. So in that sense the first half of this movie was somewhat thought provoking and the second half was somewhat heartfelt. One of the better Christmas movies out there (there’s a lot of bad ones).

Trap 2024
Watching this movie from the perspective of Cooper was captivating and anxiety rich. Each decision he makes peels back a layer of his thought process as he struggles to keep his two lives from converging. This is accented by uncomfortable close-ups. I only wish that the story kept focus on Coopers ability to manipulate and gain the trust of people to further the storyline instead of other people making stupid decisions to his benefit.
