  This is the first time I've ever seen an animated movie chug frames, like it's a poorly-optimized video game.

  Between this and Norm of the North, 2016 was a banner year for "Bargain-Bin Animated Bear Movies Starring Rob Schneider". Hits the sweet spot of being surreal in its awfulness, yet also completely dull.

  Prior to watching Suzume, I wasn't completely sold on Makoto Shinkai's work; Your Name was well put-together, but left me feeling a bit cold, and Weathering With You is just kinda a mess. But I think this might be the movie to get me onboard. It's as beautiful as you'd expect, it's often hilarious - every physical gag with the chair killed with my screening - and it's story about healing from the grief caused by natural disasters is handled…
