  Excellent showcase of Daniel Day-Lewis' maddening ability to enbody the most eccentric character and a stunningly shot if narratively dry. I understand that's the intent but still. Anyay, loved it.

  So genuinely surprising to watch an animated movie with so much to say thematically despite ironically having literally none of its characters speak whatsoever. Loved virtually every second of this incredibly meaningful film and I’m thrilled it won best animated feature this year. It does get a bit too slow in parts but still love this movie.

  There’s only one sense of wonder with John Krasinski’s IF, and that’s wondering who he thought this movie was even being made for.

  Nothing wrong with wanting to make a movie for your kids, John, but please make a movie the rest of us can enjoy next time.

  The shaky, grainy, claustrophobic and repetitive cinematography became incredibly annoying at many points and for some reason the audio engineers decided to keep using the same roaring dinosaur sound bite for the monster train every couple of minutes which also got very annoying. But I gotta admit, the movie kept me in suspense for a good chunk of its runtime.
