   30 years after the murder of her family , the lone survivor solves the mystery of what happened that night .
   The only mystery in this movie is how it could waste a cast of well known , talented actors . Lifeless direction lead to stiff , wooden performances . The script adaptation from the novel lead to very little character development , too much '50's style voice over narration and unnatural dialogue .

   A woman who was bullied and ignored her whole life decides it is time to make herself seen .
   The lead role of emotional Rhiannon's descent into darkness is performed wonderfully by Ella Purnell . She gives the character some depth and easily makes the viewer sympathize with her quirky unhinged personality in the first 3 episodes before the writing gets weak and the plot holes add up .

    A married couple buy a ghost town with plans to make it into a destination resort but soon find out it has an evil past .
    Even at 65 minutes this thing seemed stretched out . It was like watching a low budget found footage youtube video origin story for a Halloween themed haunted house/town attraction but those are shorter and more exciting . The set design was obviously a themed attraction ghost town with lighted exit signs…

  A young girl disappears , a year later her family comes home from a memorial and are surrounded by blinding lights .
    Yeah , this was bad . Lots of lights shining directly into the camera lens , some questionable acting and a terrible , unbelievable , nonsense ending . 
    At 90 minutes it seemed to go on for hours longer . It feels like two different stories jammed together to make a feature length movie and when the two stories combined didn’t make it to 90 minutes they decided to deliver the ending in slow motion .
