A British teenager deals with finding his place in the world ,his girlfriend and troubles in his parent's marriage in a comedy drama .
A sometimes fun coming of age story that gets more serious as it goes on . Some very distinctive Richard Ayoade dialogue and great performances by the cast .
I could have done without the music video montages but overall it was a quality , enjoyable movie .

The only mystery in this movie is how it could waste a cast of well known , talented actors . Lifeless direction lead to stiff , wooden performances . The script adaptation from the novel lead to very little character development , too much '50's style voice over narration and unnatural dialogue .

Yeah , this was bad . Lots of lights shining directly into the camera lens , some questionable acting and a terrible , unbelievable , nonsense ending .
At 90 minutes it seemed to go on for hours longer . It feels like two different stories jammed together to make a feature length movie and when the two stories combined didn’t make it to 90 minutes they decided to deliver the ending in slow motion .Translated from by
