This movie felt like a tale of two halves for me. The beginning was great and really kept me on edge. The second half was more fun but didn’t make complete sense to me.
I thought the parallel between Jupe trying to use the monkey for entertainment when he was a kid and then doing the same to the creature as an adult was clever. (Even though they both went terribly wrong)
Finally I felt like the overall message was about what people are willing to do for a drop of clout.
