More "Snowpiercer" and less "Parasite", but the best way I can describe the tone is if Parasite met Snowpiercer.

Unironically I haven't laughed so hard in the movies in a very long time.
It's definitely more comedy than horror, but it's so clever in its writing. The gore is there, the surprises are there. Seeing Osgood as a writer impressed me more than the directing.
That being said, sir, you've joined the likes of Guillermo Del Toro, Ari Aster, Eggers, PTA, etc etc. you make a movie, and I will pay and see it.

Not only is this (as I say too soon) the best Godzilla movie ever made, movie of the year possibility. Movie of the decade possibility.
Enough nostalgia, enough dread, humanity and symbolism to fill an entire franchise. This one will stick with me.
I was ready to say I was disappointed. This was the movie I was looking forward to the most (except maybe Nosferatu). As a solo movie-goer, I had to sit next to someone (thanks weird Regal rules), and that usually makes me uncomfortable. The movie itself almost felt unremarkable. Straightforward plot, well acted, well shot, the works.
