I thought it was an ok movie, it was interesting listening to them speak in Arabic for the entire movie. I thought it showed a lot about how women/girls/females are treated in Arabic culture, and how there is a line separating men and women. I thought it was an interesting film that demonstrated the cultural norms and ideals in Africa, but the English dialogue needed a lot of work. For example in one of the fight scenes, she was just saying getaway stop hitting me in a normal voice. I thought the big conflict, in the end, showed how just being gay can be deadly in Africa and how almost everyone doesn't accept it. So far so that even the police officers were laughing as the two girls were bleeding while sitting on the chairs.
I thought it was a great movie. It showed a lot of character development quite clearly and left things relatively simple. We see the big dude who only cares about money and work find love and face his fears of water, we see the jokester find his father and settle that part of his life and face his fear of heights, and finally, we see the timid guy finally stand up for himself and face his fears of being run…
