    Compared to David Lynch's 1984 film of Frank Herbert's Dune, this version by Denis Villeneuve is amazing. The 1984 film was a great story, however it felt like a chore to watch; though there are some effects that still hold up, most of it feels outdated. This 2021 version telling the same overall story by Frank Herbert feels fresh and easy to watch.
