  I'm so torn on this.

  I learned some fascinating things, and being able to see older trans women thriving and happy had me leaving the theater feeling hopeful and affirmed. More secure in the possibilities trans folks have ahead of us.

  But whether the heart of the director was in the right place or not, continually pressing Amanda Lear to admit she was trans made me deeply uncomfortable. Enough to where it kind of spoils the whole film for me.…

  I think Iiked it once.

  It probably has some value but I've grown so weary of conservative talking points parroting the philosophy espoused by this movie and it's depiction of true masculinity that I can find no joy in it - just the seeds that would spawn an alt-right terrorism movement targeting me and mine.
