every force that creates eventually or initially has to destroy, and every force that destroys eventually has to leave something behind, a small trace of its essence, something it created - a second chance, perhaps - a second chance for what?
it's a joyless cosmic balance but one confirmed all too constantly, and one presented here with all the hallucinatory might and iconoclast rage that suits such purpose.
the ending titles track is the closest thing one can listen to resemble the rumbling before a world-changing explosion, from a (virtually) safe distance.

This Is Going to Hurt 2022
the penultimate episode of this not only manages to calmly lay out how fucked up our world is class-wise (even if it's solely depicted through the health system prism), but also smash our hearts and faces into a million tiny little pieces.
and then the series somehow gets back to being witty, funny, and heartfelt again. and never gets us away from wanting to jump ben whishaw's bones.
