I feel like I just watched the movie equivalent of tiktok brainrot family guy clips overlayed with subway surfer gameplay. May have tipped me over the scale of being a Certified Ryan Reynolds Hater™️.

RIP Hackman.
For some reason, this incredibly depressing movie gives me so much warmth and comfort. Something about the music and time of year it was shot is so cozy, even with all the bullshit-ery along the way.
Only thing that holds this back from perfect is some weird pacing in the middle. Otherwise it's beautiful from top to bottom. Needle in the Hay scene gets me every time.

One of my all-time favourites, a movie about nothing that I'd consider a must watch for just about anyone.
Honestly, a massive part of my infatuation with this flick is the nostalgia it brings. Driving around on the first days of summer, rumours spreading across town of the party someone is throwing, nervously talking to older girls, trying weed for the first time - even though it's set two decades before my birth, some things never change.
