  The last half hour was pretty good, but two major things hurt this movie for me.

  1. The script wasn’t as clever as it thought it was.

  2. (This breaks my heart but) I just didn’t buy John Malkovich as a Pop God.

  I may have never made an actual movie, but at least I didn’t make Ghoulies 3. This was ten degrees of assholery.

  Not for nothing, this could've easily been some phoned in fluff piece from a director who doesn't need to bother with it, but Megalopolis was far from that. Don't get me wrong, it was bad. Like real bad... but it was far from uninspired or boring. FFC cranked this movie to 11, and half the fun was just seeing what weird shit was going to happen in any given scene.
