  I don't think I've ever seen a film where I couldn't figure out what the humour or writing style was meant to be.

  The dialogue choices are horribly unnatural, and the acting wholly unbelievable and caricature. Yet they're also not hammy, extreme, nor funny enough to play as intentional.
  The line deliveries are always ... Off, with weird editing and foley choices.
  The jump scares are mistimed to be ineffective, but not in a way that has the audience think…

  After recommending this to a colleague, I thought I'd better watch it again and ready myself for damage control. Hopefully he'll forget I said anything. It goes so much harder than I remember.

  Not sure we needed the prophetic son and his sleepover.
  But everything else was tight, tense and believable.

  And happy to hear that it received the audience choice award and will be screened again at Cyber-Soho Horror Fest (that's not what it's called) but the online part of the festival from 7-10th December.
