    Could take place in the same universe as Tilman’s other film Luz; that entire movie takes place in a room very similar to the one in the climax in Cuckoo. 

    Hunter is a magnetic lead, love Dan Steven’s German accent. 

    The array of analog tech on display is awesome with a mix of everything from cassettes to amps to tiny portable tvs. Phenomenal set decorating.

    Middle aged second family men stay the worst 

    Alpine horror! I can’t help but feel this was a little bit inspired by Hotel

    A fascinating story for many reasons and I wonder how much the pressure to create an online presence that conveyed carefree hippy ideals from scratch while the real relationship was fraught with violence and tension led to what eventually happened. 

    Also highlights the importance of intervention when someone you love could be making a terrible mistake and also how vital it is to treat domestic violence situations very carefully from law enforcement.

    Half star for the dog 

    There’s something to be said about two men stabbing and beating each other for over five minutes being a showpiece of a vie enjoyed by people who would be disgusted If say these two men were kissing or fucking. I’m so sick of the ironic gay jokes which in the end feel more homophobic than placed with any sincerity.
