  More dull and plodding than I remember. Eric Bana is so hot but such a vacuum of charisma. This really should’ve been a campfest but here we are instead (straight people shouldn’t direct films like this - she literally tries to get knocked up by her brother and you play it serious smh). Should’ve had Todd Haynes direct this.

  Beautifully filmed, the first half is one of the best things you’ll see. Tremendously acted especially by Adrien Brody. Feels timeless as much as it feels unique and different - like a movie that’s always existed or has always existed.

  Wanted to add: this really would’ve been perfect but I feel the second half isn’t as focused as the first.
