  I felt like I had the most tenuous grasp of what was going on and as the movie went on, that grip kept loosening. All that to say - I had no idea what was going on but I had a great time during it, surprisingly!

  Not as good as I remember and don’t really consider this near the top of the Tarantino oeuvre. Scenes of great tension, scenes of great acting, but so many of them go on for so long (expected) but feel like it doesn’t really add up into something as cohesive as his other overlong revenge movies.

  Beautifully filmed, the first half is one of the best things you’ll see. Tremendously acted especially by Adrien Brody. Feels timeless as much as it feels unique and different - like a movie that’s always existed or has always existed.

  Wanted to add: this really would’ve been perfect but I feel the second half isn’t as focused as the first.
