Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone 2001
It's maybe flawed in places. The finale is a bit wonky. Maybe I'm biased since I first saw this movie a long time ago. This is my first rewatch in a very long time and I think the movie is very charming, full of real whimsy, adventure and creativity, and that's ultimately what carries things. There's a lot of heart in some of the characters too.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion 1997
Somehow despite being of the most popular mecha franchises of all time, Evangelion doesn't get enough credit. Feels like what is mostly talked about is the philosophical and psychological themes and whether they're deep or not, whether they work for someone. The themes of this movie worked excellently for me, I found it to be one of the most profound movies I've seen about depression, loneliness, anxiety and self-isolation.
But I want to draw more attention to the sheer perfection…

2001 Maniacs 2005
The opposite of elevated horror. It's not a bad movie though. The gore honestly isn't great, but Robert Englund & Lin Shaye are great, but some of the other antagonists have horrible acting and the actual characters are at best passable. Still, the movie's very well paced and never really felt boring nor did it drag. Expect some very offensive humour/dialogue.
