    Okay, I admit I watched this on the plane too. In two separate viewings.

    BUT....

    Meh.

    What made the first and second so compelling was it's cast of characters and despite Lupita Nyong'o's best efforts, I just.didn't.care.

    Sure it was scary at times, but I found that the film struggled to say anything.

    Liked the cat,though.

    I'm going to preface this by saying I watched this film on a plane.

    I was highly recommended this movie by a friend, and I just could not get the hype. Don't get me wrong–this film is good. I was expecting it to be delightful.

    Coleman Domingo commands stage presence like it's second nature to him. The rich timbre of his voice and his ability to oscillate between total stillness and explosive emotion is what makes him so powerful onscreen.…
