It's such a small detail, but I absolutely love the clinking of the memory balls, so the wave scene was a fantastic piece of ASMR for me.

Unlike most of the sequels that have been churning out lately, I had little to no worry about this being almost as good, if not as good, as the first, and I was completely correct. My only notes were on Envy (not used enough to really emphasize the emotion), and Ennui (most of…

Ignoring how odd and occasionally creepy this movie was, I think we didn't give either of our leads enough credit (despite them being the leads). Jamie Lee Curtis is hilarious pulling off the teenage Anna (I can only assume she gave Jack Black some tips before Jumanji), and Lindsey Lohan pulls off some of the serious scenes as Tess with more sensitivity than I think we expected from her.

This could very easily have been as bad as the average Adam Sandler movie. Jim Carrey is always funnier to me, though, just through body language and his own impressions, which made this movie more lighthearted and less like it was trying too hard. Plus, you know, who hasn't pictured Morgan Freeman as God with that voice of his? Then when you get to Carrey's relationship with Jennifer Aniston, there is some great passion and some actually heart-wrenching speeches that you wouldn't expect in a movie meant to be a fun time, even when it's making a light play on religion and faith already.

It's short, but still an interesting perspective. Most of the stories told of this day come from adults or are about adults - it's easy to overlook what a traumatic event it was for the ones who were children at the time, and those children are finally getting old enough to share their thoughts and experiences. I wouldn't have minded a wider selection of stories, but it's a good insight into how a certain generation was affected (and in many ways still is affected) by such a life-altering event.
