  might bump this up to a 4 but like the other terrifier movies it adheres to genre constructs as sacrosanct. what changes this one up a bit is it takes up a Christmas movie structure and adds those type of beats into the formula, but the holiday miracles are replaced with carnage. likewise it feels like a '3rd movie' in which the survivors have PTSD and can't convince others around them that things aren't okay, tons of series do this…

  fun concept with an awful script. i will say the movies got a clean style to it, ronnie yus a solid action director and he did a solid job at making a 'horror' popcorn action flick.   awfully formated take on old news. remember that guy whos been accusing courtney love since forever, he's basically telling his same exact story with really bad dateline-esq dramatizations. so uh yeah, its just a buncha 'i visited courtney and she was high and not making sense at the time buut heres what she may have been scheming', fuck off.

  i'd be hardpressed to recommend parting shots to annnyone unfamiluar with michael winner. on paper it's an exercise in self-parody, executionwise it's jarringly unfunny and strikingly incompetent. wikipedia lists this as 'one of the worst movies of all time', nah i think that's just afterthought marketing. take a prolific 70s action director, tell him write a comedy and give him a porno budget, and you'll get parting shots.
