Even at 95 minutes Ash feels bloated. There’s a fun fifteen minute short in here, but with Flying Lotus insisted on style over substance and a lot of color graded filler and jump scare tactics. After the first hour there’s a little first person quasi-slasher bloodshed to be seen, but it’s all too little too late.

Marvelous film with a snappy script and an imaginative eye. Any theatre bug and/or Sopranos watcher should see Wild Strawberries.
Lovely movie with some fine performances
Magazine Dreams hit all the right chords for a grossly engaging, absolutely monstrous look at cutthroat body competitions and the difficulties of finding strong role models for today’s young men.
Jonathan Majors crushes this role. Magazine Dreams reminded me a lot of Manhunter, and that’s a good thing.

Body horror gets a facelift and how.
Coralie Fargeat’s sophomore attempt is a real stunner. Not only is Demi Moore full throttle, Margaret Qualley puts on a show, and well Dennis Quaid is electric as the movie’s male gaze. Well let’s be honest, there’s a lot of leering going on in this picture.
An absolute rollercoaster of a splatter flick about youth, the body politic, and the aging mind. Don’t miss this movie, it’s engrossing, gross and isn’t afraid to show you a beating heart even when it’s pulling teeth.
