Many studies have investigated the correlations between linguistic features and human judgements of writing quality. These studies usually investigate either proficient student writing or exceptional literary writing. The current study attempts to bridge these two perspectives by comparing proficient writing to award-winning exceptional writing using movie reviews written by bloggers and Pulitzer Prize winners. A range of linguistic features representing syntactic complexity, lexical complexity, and lexical cohesion were analyzed using both automated and interpretive methods. It is found that some, but not all, of the trends seen in writing development studies continue on to exceptional writing, with lexical sophistication and lexical cohesion through conceptual associations making the largest contributions to the differences between proficient and exceptional writers.

The 2003 movie Whale Rider a heartfelt story about a young girl and her grandfather, it is a story about an indigenous community’s transformation, and it is also a universal story inviting cross-cultural associations. “David Lynch’s “Lost Highway” is like kissing a mirror: You like what you see, but it’s not much fun, and kind of cold” (Ebert, 1997). Albeit disappointing, that is exactly how renowned film critic Roger Ebert describes ‘Lost Highway’ (1997). All said and done, the fact remains that one might love the movie, one might hate the movie as well, but there is very little possibility that one will ignore the movie after watching it. Call it a crazy ride, call it a symphonic mixture of dreams and reality, call it a cryptic stream of consciousness on celluloid or simply call it a bad film; ‘Lost Highway’ will invariably twist your brain and you shall never be the same again. This paper would look carefully at the cinematic text of ‘Lost Highway’ and try to find out if there is a method in the ingrained madness. While David Lynch never really bothers about how the audience might react to his movies, there is very little doubt about his obvious qualities as one of the most influential filmmakers of all time. ‘Lost Highway’ could be analyzed over and over again and one still cannot be sure about what it tries to convey. Instead of trying to find out a definite explainer, this paper tries to plug that very gap and argues that meaning is not what the movie intends to concoct.

Peepli Live is a 2010 Indian satirical comedy film written and directed by Anusha Rizvi and produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The article is a brief insight into the movie 'Oleg' by the Lithuanian director Juris Kursietis presented at the 2019 online edition of the GoEast Film Festival.  The film's main character is an ethnic Russian butcher living

In this paper we have used movie review dataset (aclimdb) to train our machine and logistic regression algorithm which is used to predict the polarity of a given movie review. Manual efforts on thinking and wasting time in taking decisions are decreased. In case of deciding on which movie to buy or watch, people look at websites, which provides reviews and ratings of the movies. This makes people to decide on which movie to buy or watch. People may have good or bad opinion about the movie, they express there opinion through reviews in the websites like amazon, BookMyShow etc. Where people look at the reviews and ratings to decide which movie to watch or buy. Good opinions about the movies are classified as positive and bad opinions are classified as negative. Review containing "good", "wonderful", "enjoyed" like keywords are called as positive. Review containing "not nice", "bad" like keywords are called as negative. Movie ratings are calculated based on the positive opinion about the movie. Sentiment analysis is a technique used to classify positive and negative opinion of the movie review. Where sentiment analysis is text classification tool, which analyses the text and identifies the polarity of the text.

David Lynch's 'Mulholland Drive' (2001), often stylized as 'Mulholland Dr.', constitutes a perplexing journey along the slippery isles of the human subconscious. It belies the very concept of cinematic logic in all its available dimensions. Critics and scholars often categorize the movie as a mystery thriller and rightfully so. However, the mystery does not stem from unanswered questions asked by the film's ingrained diegesis. In contrast, the mystery lies in the entire film being a question mark on the established notions of human sense and sensibility. Just as dreams seldom paint a coherent narrative, 'Mulholland Drive' hardly drives a point home, at least a point that can be singularly identified. It might as well be argued by some that reality also barely makes sense. While an overgeneralization of the above nature might at times hold some grounds, the fact remains that Lynch makes his intentions clear with his portrayal of Hollywood and its unique culture through 'Mulholland Drive'-that of creating a dreamy maze, a maze that could scarcely be deciphered with the help of everyday logic. This paper tries to critically analyze 'Mulholland Drive' from diegetic, thematic and theoretical perspectives and find out how dreams beat reality in playing the primordial role in its making. In doing so, it would consider the interpretations of the movie given by other experts and scholars while establishing the fact that it certainly falls within the surrealist genre, something that seldom follows the linear narrative structure. This paper will also look at the movie in terms of Lynch's other cinematic works, all of which have broken the established cinematic norms in some form or the other.

Insterstellar a 2014 Hollywood movie is a movie that moved me to think scientifically is an amazing film that attempts to include not only science but combined romance and practical reality that may be encountered by mankind in the future. The characters acting in the film are very versatile and convincing in portraying their role which made the movie more appealing to me. This movie is very unique in its own since not only by the roles played by the actors and actresses but also how the plot revolves to establish and make an outstanding blockbuster film. As the web created a new environment and changed contexts of communication, social media has been a popular venue for different forms of free expression (Morgos & Troffin, 2015). As a multi modal social networking site, Youtube indeed became a new discourse community. With a spike of 300 Million follower's in June 2014, Screen Rant's primacy in shaping entertainment commentary has been established. The study uses Miller's (1998) Genre Theory, to view the purposes of parodic lines narrated through the videos. Transcripts of the ten most popular Honest Trailer videos, purposively selected per film genre, were analyzed in terms of macro structure, microstructure and language features. With a goal to formulate common moves used in this genre, this paper aims to make film critiquing an interesting yet socially relevant genre in society, accessible to all users of the web. Results explored different motives that constitutes a Youtube post, concretized common characteristics of the community of film viewers, and explained the language features used in Youtube and Parodic Film Reviews. Further studies of other trending Youtube channels would give more breadth and depth of this research, as it further classifies Youtube communities into specific groups based on their interests.

The Grand Budapest Hotel is an american-british comedy-adventure movie. This movie was released in 2014 and became one of the best movies in 2015. It was written and directed by Wes Anderson. The story of the movie is inspired by several works by the Austrian writer, Stefan Zweig. The movie starred by Ralph Fiennes and Tony Revolori as the main casts and other supporting casts, such as F Murray Abraham, Tilda Swinton, Adrien Brody, Mathieu Amalric, Willem Dafoe, Jude Law, Bill Murray, Tom Wilkinson, Saoirse Ronan and many more. The movie tells about a story behind a famous European hotel, named Grand Budapest that became a pride of the fictional country, Republic of Zubrowka because of its service quality, that narrated by an anonymous author.

Jest to problem istotny z co najmniej dwóch powodów. Po pierwsze, jest on mało zgłębiony mimo rosnącej od kilku lat liczby badań recenzji. Po drugie, recenzje różnego rodzaju stają się coraz istotniejsze dla odbiorców, zwłaszcza wobec coraz większej liczby produkcji fi lmowych i zmiany modelu odbioru fi lmów-przesuwającego się ku różnym formom dostępu online na żądanie. Coraz większy udział w rynku uzyskują serwisy i usługi oferujące zarówno produkcje własne, jak i fi lmy obce. The Spy Gone North (Gongjak). Plotted less as spy story and more as political exposé. based on the true story of a South Korean intelligence operative, code-named Black Venus, who infiltrated and corrupted North Korean power circles during the nuclear crisis of the 1990s. The subject will certainly be its selling point outside Asia, though the first half will need disentangling for non-Korean audiences. Clocking in at almost two and a half hours, the story initially races along so fast and with so many historical facts to absorb that one wishes it would slow down. Typed titles on the screen inform that after the Korean War (1950-'53), an armistice was signed between the two countries. The South became rich and capitalist and the North continued poor and communist under supreme leader Kim Jong-il.

My Cyborg Girlfriend is a Japanese movie which blend technology with the current time. It tries to show how technology affects the human kind. Most specifically it portrays a human robot, a female one who always accompany Jiro wherever he goes and whatever he does. Before, his life was extremely boring until his birthday came that he thought he was going to celebrate alone and end up the usual how he celebrates his birthday every year. However, that time everything turned up something new. He meet a weird girl who keeps on following him as if a stalker but it turned out that it was also her birthday and she celebrated it with him, whereas the gift that they supposed to give for themselves where given to each other. They had fun that time and after the event the girl left. After one year the girl appeared again and revealed her true identity that she was made by Jiro's grandfather, who that time won the lottery and consume his money in making the robot. It was said that she was made to save Jiro in a disaster that he would be encountering. True to his word, the girl became the constant company of Jiro at home, in school and even save lives of the people. However a misunderstanding started to consume when Jiro feel in love with the robot but the girl doesn't feel the same. Jiro even tried making the girl jealous and that time Jiro confronted the girl to never show up and disappear. As he wished, it was granted. His life went back to its normal boring life. Until an earthquake took over their city that the girl appeared to save him from the big debris falling. The girl protected him as they are running looking for a safe place. They settled for a while but the girl realized that a big debris will be falling from the building that she exerted her effort to push Jiro from the current place and ended up the girl being buried by the large debris. On the other hand, the road open that Jiro was made to stumble and lucky enough for him to hold a metal which any time soon would also be collapsing as the aftershock of earthquake took over. The girl on the other hand did her best to get away from the large stacks of concrete cement but unfortunately she can't until she decided to exert all her efforts that her tissues started to break leaving her only f her half body and the other half still buried. With all her valiance and strength he went to were Jiro was hanging and save him again for the nth times. Jiro was still overwhelmed so she hugged the girl tightly until he noticed that he is only hugging the upper part of the girl and was shocked to find out that she doesn't have her lower parts anymore. Jiro cried over and over again and even wept harder when the girl says that she is feeling his heart which may mean that she is starting to feel something for Jiro. Sadly the girl died for the injury that she had and for missing some of his parts. Jiro on the other hand mourned for her death but decided that he should still build her. This left Jiro thinking and after several years, he was able to retrieved and made an exact replica of her who still remained his compny until hi very last breath

The director in charge of the photography and the shots in the film was Jim Van Dijk and Neal Seale, who used various styles of photography, among which the extreme long shot, medium long shot, long shot, close up shot and among others stand out.

This movie is about Joan of Arc, one telling of this story anyway. It beautifully illustrates the fundamental problem of Church/State Relations as the church likes to think of it. My commentary noted details about the movie, but it focuses upon the adulterative relationship what calls itself church tries to maintain with the state.

Bag-of-words approach is popularly used for Sentiment analysis. It maps the terms in the reviews to term-document vectors and thus disrupts the syntactic structure of sentences in the reviews. Association among the terms or the semantic structure of sentences is also not preserved. This research work focuses on classifying the sentiments by considering the syntactic and semantic structure of the sentences in the review. To improve accuracy, sentiment classifiers based on relative frequency, average frequency and term frequency inverse document frequency were proposed. To handle terms with apostrophe, preprocessing techniques were extended. To focus on opinionated contents, subjectivity extraction was performed at phrase level. Experiments were performed on Pang & Lees, Kaggle's and UCI's dataset. Classifiers were also evaluated on the UCI's Product and Restaurant dataset. Sentiment Classification accuracy improved from 67.9% for a comparable term weighing technique, DeltaTFIDF, up to 77.2% for proposed classifiers. Inception of the proposed concept based approach, subjectivity extraction and extensions to preprocessing techniques, improved the accuracy to 93.9%.
