Tinder y conductas sexuales de riesgo en jóvenes españoles Resumen. La popularidad de las apps móviles con geolocalización permite ampliar el círculo social de muchas personas, pero existen escasas investigaciones acerca del impacto que puedan tener sobre la salud de los usuarios. Tinder es la app con geolocalización más popular y resulta conveniente analizar cómo afecta a la sexualidad de los usuarios y si puede propiciar conductas de riesgo. El objetivo de la presente investigación es determinar los efectos del uso de Tinder: la búsqueda de sensaciones sexuales, compulsividad sexual y conductas sexuales de riesgo, como el sexo sin preservativo, sexo con múltiples parejas y sexo no consentido. Participaron 262 sujetos de entre 18 y 30 años, de los cuales 133 eran usuarios de Tinder y 129 no usuarios. Los usuarios de Tinder obtuvieron puntuaciones mayores en búsqueda de sensaciones sexuales y compulsividad sexual que los no usuarios. No hubo diferencias en las conductas sexuales de riesgo, salvo que los usuarios de Tinder hacen un mayor uso del preservativo. En conclusión, pese a puntuar más alto en compulsividad sexual y búsqueda de sensaciones sexuales, los usuarios de Tinder tienen sexo más seguro que los no usuarios porque presentan mayor uso del preservativo y no hay diferencias en el resto de conductas sexuales de riesgo.

WHAT JESUS WOULD SAY TO SAME-SEX COUPLES by Aaron Milavec

I am angry.

First and foremost, I am angry at the cowardice that kept me silent for over twenty-five years while I was being honored as one of the best and brightest professors at The Athenaeum of Ohio. I knew, from personal experiences, that the teaching of my church regarding homosexuality was a biblically distorted and cruel doctrine. But I also knew that no one who openly challenged this teaching could survive as a teacher and a pastor in my church.

This book brings together personal stories, heart-rending interviews, and five-years of collaborative research. My exposition of this very sensitive topic is divided into five chapters.

Ch1 Early Experiences and How my Mind Has Changed

I begin with my personal experience because, when everything is said and done, my personal encounters with lesbians and gays impacts how I register their place in society and in the churches. In this, there is no neutral starting point for me or for anyone else. No matter how many degrees one has earned or how many ordinations that one has experienced, no one can escape their personal experiential base. Anyone denying this is not sufficiently self-aware and cannot be trusted as a guide in addressing the issue of homosexuality.

Ch2 How the Bible and Cardinal Ratzinger Treat and Mistreat Homosexuals

I will now introduce Matthew Vines’ marvelous skill and disarming authenticity in probing the limits of using the Bible to discover God's hateful condemnation of homosexuality. Immediately thereafter I will unravel the dangerous flaws found in Cardinal Ratzinger’s arguments against same-sex marriages. This section will unmask the hidden fallacies found in the Roman Catholic and Evangelical Protestant claims to have found God’s point of view. It will also address whether my criticisms of Ratzinger’s Doctrine are rash and disrespectful.

Ch3 How John J. McNeill, Pope Francis, and the U.S. Supreme Court Safeguard our Future

Now I will use case studies to expose how authoritarian approaches serve to destroy communities and to defeat the very goals that their exponents hope to achieve. I will borrow healthy points of departure from John McNeill, Pope Francis, and the U.S. Supreme Court that enable Christian communities to reaffirm the wisdom of Jesus and to bind up the wounds of all our children. I even offer a healing balm for those who vigorously disagree with me.

Ch4 Nonviolent Resistance to the Christian Taliban

As I circulated my first three chapters, I heard from those who were disgusted with how certain bishops and pastors have resorted to using intimidation and threats in order to silence believers who support same-sex marriages. Those afflicted are, in most instances, justly angry and ready to take action against the menace of authoritarian fundamentalists within their church. It is for the afflicted, and most especially for the afflicted youths, that I have created this chapter on "nonviolent resistance."

Ch5 How Jesus Silenced the Fundamentalists

Our struggle against fundamentalism needs all the help we can get from Jesus. When the Gospels are explored, it is clear that homosexuality and same-sex marriages do not show up. However, what one does discover is how Jesus vigorously confronted Jewish fundamentalists in his day; hence, we, as disciples of the Lord, have much to learn from Jesus’ nonviolent resistance.

My book provides 80 pages of appendices that present church documents, human interest stories, investigative reporting, and proven methods to diminish the instinctual repulsion felt by straights encountering gays.

However, to discuss sex in some African cultures can be likened with stealing from the Pope or dancing naked in the church. In African societies, Sex is between a married couple and sacred. Sex is not discussed casually. Africans believe that decent families and respectable people will not discuss sex or sexual acts. We thank C. S. I. Jenkins and Neil Levy for their thoughtful comments on our article about love and addiction (Earp, Wudarczyk, Foddy, & Savulescu, in press). While we do not have room for a comprehensive reply, we would like to touch on a few main issues.

An exploration of the themes within the relationship between Lolita and Humbert Humbert: Can art say the unsayable? Lolita tackles perhaps the most uncomfortable taboo of human existence. The questionable Mr. Humbert Humbert is characterised by Nabokov as the true definition of an anti-hero. It could be argued that he is problematised to the point in which his sense of self as anything redeemable can be questioned. When exploring Lolita, it is important to question who the story and plotline truly focuses on. Often the character who is placed at the forefront or narrates the story is seen as the one whom the plotline follows. In essence, the main character is the focus of the story on a first reading of a text due to the nature of storytelling and especially with first person texts. However, I would like to refocus this text as more than Humbert's story, but instead look at the whole relationship. As such, the question of Lolita as a piece of art is indeed an interesting idea, as it asks questions about the text and Lolita herself as a character and a representation of ideals. The text is art, but Lolita herself is also art in the eyes of Humbert. Representing such a skewed and dangerous love story as art creates a strange world where taboos of nature can be partially excused, at least for the purpose of a novel. To read this novel, I have previously used another text to uncover some questions regarding forbidden love and strange romances. I studied Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion which is a contemporary adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Reading this novel closely and analysing the themes, questions of love were raised. The idea of everlasting love, love that transcends the realm of normality and attraction beyond societal norms were the themes raised in my research. These subjects relate strongly to Lolita which allows for a direct comparison of the themes. Therefore, these intricacies were integrated into my planning for this thesis. Both texts challenge ideologies about sexuality and morality. Lolita encapsulates many themes, such as pedophilia, forbidden love, references to mythology and childhood.

John Milbank, Professor of Politics, Religion and Ethics notes that: “the politics that we practice today is a politics without the soul. It is thereby a perverse politics, an anti-politics and even, in the end, an impossible politics. If we are to survive as recognizably human, we need to return to a politics of the soul, albeit in a new guise.” Even more poignantly, what is missing from most contemporary political discourse is an understanding of which concept of existence underlies our common thinking and our institutions. As a society, we suffer from cultural and historical amnesia, but most important of all, O'Reilly makes it clear that we suffer from metaphysical amnesia about the soul and its relationship to something higher than itself.

Los comentarios sobre la sexualidad suelen estar teñidos de erotismo, de consumismo, de enseñanzas, de prejuicios, de falsas creencias, de discriminación. Puede resultar difícil para el ciudadano común diferenciar los aspectos positivos de los negativos de la sexualidad. En el caso de la violencia sexual su aspecto destructivo es evidente ¿Cómo es posible que ambos conceptos se unan, cuando la sexualidad se refiere intrínsicamente a la vida? Der Beitrag untersucht den sexualwissenschaftlichen Diskurs um  Pädophilie zwischen 1960 und 1995 beispielhaft anhand der Schriftenreihe „Beiträge zur Sexualforschung“ sowie der Fachzeitschriften „Sexualmedizin“ und „Journal of Sex Research“. Die Disziplin der Sexualwissenschaft erscheint dabei – so die zentrale These – als ein Feld, in dem Forderungen nach einer Legalisierung pädosexueller Handlungen zwischen Beginn der 1970er- und Anfang der 1990er-Jahre relativ widerspruchsfrei geäußert werden konnten. Dabei wendet sich der Beitrag gegen ein Narrativ der Liberalisierung und betont demgegenüber die Bedeutung der empirischen Wende in der Sexualwissenschaft. So drehte sich die Debatte um pädosexuelle  Kontakte weitgehend um den empirischen Nachweis ihrer (Un-)Schädlichkeit. Beim Blick auf vergeschlechtlichte Vorstellungen von Normalität und Devianz, von der Persönlichkeit des Pädophilen, der Rolle von Kindern in pädosexuellen Verhältnissen und der Frage danach, woran genau sich eine mögliche Schädlichkeit dieser Beziehungen bemessen lasse, werden vielfältige Verschiebungen innerhalb des Sexualitätsdispositivs über den Gegenstand der Pädophilie hinaus deutlich.

Esta pesquisa procura entender o uso do fetiche pela publicidade de moda, analisando teorias psicológicas sobre o tema e visa mostrar a influência e sua relevância enquanto ferramenta de propagação. A importância deste trabalho se revela no fato de que o fetiche no meio publicitário é, ainda nos dias de hoje, um campo praticamente inexplorado, enquanto no campo da moda ele tem uma importância que varia desde uma influência sutil até o tema central de inspiração. Analisaremos teorias psicológicas sobre o fetiche e como ele é visto socialmente, embasados por autores como Valerie Steele, salientando a negligência de estudos sociais sobre a mulher como ser sexual e fetichista e sobre a construção da identidade através da sexualidade e do consumo, seguindo a lógica de Edilene Queiroz. Definiremos, a partir da leitura de imagens o uso de signos semióticos que demonstrem a fetichização dos bens de consumo pela publicidade, através de padrões estabelecidos por Tom Reichert. A publicidade se utiliza de diversos meios subliminares para definir e dramatizar comportamentos, e o uso do fetichismo, ainda inexplorado no Brasil, é uma delas, portanto, merece ser estudado a fundo, assim como a mensuração de sua influência.


ABSTRACT


This research seeks to understand the use of fetish in fashion advertisement, psychological theories will be analyzed to show it's influence and relevance as a tool of advertisers. The importance of this theme is revealed in the fact that fetish in the means of advertisement is, still currently, a field almost unexplored, while in the means of fashion it has an importance that varies from a subtle influence through central theme of inspiration. We'll analyze psychological theories about fetish and how it is seen by our society, grounded by authors like Valerie Steele, stressing the negligence of social studies about women as a sexual been and as a fetishist, following the logic of Edilene Queiroz, and so we will be defining, though the reading of semiotic symbols on images that show the fetishization of consumer goods through advertisement, using Tom Reichert as a reference. Advertising uses many subliminal means to define and dramatize behaviors, and it's use of fetishism, still unexplored in Brazil, is one of them and so, it deserves to be deeply studied as the measures of it's effects over consumer behavior.

Unbecoming Female Monsters: Witches, Vampires and Virgins is a multi-cultural and interdisciplinary work founded on the idea that female monstrosity is buried within cultural constructs. It looks at the cult of the female body as a contested site of patriarchal fears and anxieties around female sexuality and its reproductive power. Cristina Santos explores how any process of female sexual development occurring outside society’s predetermined acceptable behavior patterns for women is considered deviant, monstrous, and/or degenerate. This type of socio-cultural censorship of female self-expression then leads to the prejudgment of the female by external forces within confining and inauthentic roles for the individual. Ultimately, those women who chose an authentic self-expression of their sexuality run the risk of possible exclusion from their community and punishment for not adhering to the dominant normative code.

In 2009, psychoanalyst and queer theorist Tim Dean released Unlimited Intimacy, an anthropologically-tinged yet creatively psychoanalytic account of the bareback and bug-chasing subculture(s). Since then, a relatively new term has taken the place as the ‘new frontier’ for the study of gay sexual risk: chemsex. The intense medical and media focus on the practice of gay sex with drugs has led to numerous reports, sexual health strategies and sensational coverage on the practice, which has in part led to the theoretical consolidation of the subculture and the growing entanglement of sex and drug taking in the ‘urban’ gay male community. The documentary ‘Chemsex’, is a particularly famous example of such sensational coverage. Focusing on pornographic depictions of the act, it seeks to present itself as a ’neutral’ examination of the rise of chemsex while at the same time giving space for heavily medicalised and pathological arguments for its desirability among urban gay men. In offering a ‘gendered’ analysis of ‘Chemsex’, this essay will focus on the use of ‘bodies’ in the documentary, asserting that an amalgamation and syncretic reading of primarily two psychoanalytic theoretical frames is required. The first frame used by Tim Dean and Leo Bersani in their writings on bareback (unprotected sex) and bug-chasing (the fetishisation and practice of having sex to actively be infected with HIV), will be used to place chemsex as a practice within a subcultural tradition of sexual risk in the gay community. This will be used in conjunction with Laura Mulvey’s psychoanalytic work on representation in order to better imprint the lacanian frame onto a critique of filmic technique in “Chemsex” and explore how notions of gender and sexuality are communicated to the audience, and how that audience is constituted against the chemsexual subjects. Reflections will also be made on bell hooks and Judith Butler who offer insights into the role of spectacle and precarity respectively in constituting the audience. Ultimately, the gendered analysis of this essay rests on acknowledging how “Chemsex” misrepresents chemsex as a practice primarily through its hypersexualisation of gay subjects, pandering to the heterosexual matrix of the male gaze and already existing heteronormative conceptions of sexual deviancy. While this essay unarguably views “chemsex” as a mostly problematic portrayal of the subculture, an appraisal of new masculinities represented in the film will allow us to appreciate new gender paradigms being created in gay sexual subcultures via sexual risk.

Examines the success of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie, and how its popularity says something about the contradictory nature of female sexuality. Calling this kind of fantasizing "demeaning" to women is just another way of repressing natural female sexual impulses. The question is explored through the lens of Jungian psychology.

This course is designed to apply the field of sociology (the study of social interaction, human behavior, and social organization) to a host of contemporary social problems through examination of sociological perspectives, major concepts and current debates. The course will demonstrate how social problems are embedded in social institutions such as family, education, and criminal justice. In this course we will 1.) examine the nature and characteristics of social problems, 2.) examine the strengths and weaknesses of various sociological theoretical frameworks for understanding these social problems, 3.) apply sociological thought to current examples of social problems, and, 4.) familiarize ourselves with the various 'sides' of these debates.

Despite the efforts of the Constitution of Kenya  2010 (COK) in Article 27 which  protects persons living with disabilities from discrimination and Article 54 which provides for their right to access assistive tools and communications, women living with disabilities are still ‘marked by experiences of discrimination, prejudice and inequality.’  According to Dick Sobbey, ‘The degree of risk of sexual abuse of persons with disabilities appears to be at least 150 percent of that for individuals of the same sex and similar age without disabilities.’ 
SGBV still prevails in Kenya even as the Sexual Offences Act 2006 (SOA) has been in place.  Although there are existing laws on humanitarian rights which give privilege to women living with disabilities to be free from all forms of harm and violence,  they are more prone to be victims of sexual abuse which may lead to them been limited to judicial interventions and also physical and psychological help.
Cases of SGBV of women living with disabilities are increasingly underreported in Kenya since their nature (the disabilities) diminishes their quest for justice. It is because they highly depend on their caregivers who are mostly the main perpetrators, they are socially isolated, experience social discrimination and also face significant disadvantage due to the presence of fewer support services in place in which they are also illiterate on their rights

This study is devoted to the emotional experience of the famous Renaissance sculptor, goldsmith, and writer, Benvenuto Cellini (1500–1571), as it is portrayed in his life writing, the Vita. Providing the variety of arguments on the connection between the artist and contemporary intellectuals, who attended the Florentine Academy (1540–1583) together, I demonstrate that Cellini’s literary production can be examined productively against the background of Neoplatonic thought. In particular, Marsilio Ficino’s On Love, first published in the vernacular Italian in 1544, helps to establish an explanation of what Cellini meant when he decided to play the cornet while falling in love simultaneously with a young boy and girl, or  how he justified kicking or punching his servants, or why he did not kill his adversary, the artist Baccio Bandinelli, when he had the chance. These cases of radical affectivity are inscribed into Ficino’s concept of the “melancholy genius” manifesting melancholic madness. In Cellini’s Vita, the latter can not only turn humans almost into beast, literally (for example, in a bat); but, properly tempered by the means of music and poetry, as well as of individual and collective magic, it elevates one’s soul “on high,” which corresponds to the Neoplatonic concept of divine madness.

The Lifestyle involves sexual acts performed by more than two participants whether in the same space, or separately. It is also known as “swinging”, “wife-, or spouse-swapping”, “wife-, or spouse-sharing”, “group sex” and, where multiple people interact with a single person, “gangbanging”. Swinging can be soft (engaging in sexual activity with one’s own intimate partner, but in the presence of others), or hard (having sex not with one’s spouse or mate.) Threesomes (mostly male-female-male or MFM) are the most common configuration.

The psychological background to such unusual pursuits is not clear and has never been studied in depth. Still, thousands of online chats between active and wannabe adherents and fans in various forums reveal 10 psychodynamic strands.

According to Brian Morris (2013), “Science supports infant circumcision” and “so should skeptics.” It would be more accurate to say that ‘Brian Morris supports infant circumcision,’ and that skeptics can think for themselves. In this paper, we critically assess the arguments and evidence presented by Morris in his recent article, and draw some general lessons for the ongoing debate about the science and ethics of infant male circumcision.

In 1988, an assertion popped upstating that hip-hop music could be used as a tool to disseminate information amongst communities that traditionally have been underserved by mainstream media outlets. In the years since, several explicitly political and activist groups have formed within hip-hop communities. Most hip-hop audience members are not, however, directly involved in such groups. This dissertation investigates the influence of hip-hop music in adolescents especially as it affects them morally, using Caleb British International School as a case study. In the course of this research, data was gathered by administering 75 questionnaires which was used to collect the opinion of self-identified hip-hop fans through data collection. Results of the research showed that the viewing of Nigerian hip hop music videos though entertaining has a huge negative impact on the moral behaviour of the adolescent and also is responsible for a lot of negative moral behaviours. It was also discovered that the main source(s) of exposure of Nigerian hip hop musical videos to adolescents in Nigeria are portable hand held devices e.g phone, ipads and tablets, video streaming sites. Based on the findings of this study, it is suggested that students should be educated on the dangers of watching Nigerian hip hop music and its effect on their character and academic pursuit. They can be introduced to other morally acceptable music videos that are more beneficial and less harmful to them hence music videos that celebrate obscenity and undermine morals of the African culture should not be encouraged.

Sexual assault is a complex situation with medical, psychological, and legal aspects. Victims should be examined by a specially trained medico-legal examiner to collect evidence and avoid multiple examinations. The use of colposcopy in child and adult sexual assault cases is becoming increasingly more widespread however; it is still not a routine aspect of all examinations in most countries. The present study aimed to evaluate the importance of using the colposcope in the examination of the sexual assault cases admitted to the violence against women and child clinic in the Forensic Medicine Authority in Egypt. The study included (150) cases, divided into two groups according to age: Group A (1 to 18 years) (124) male and female children and Group B (19-40 years) (26) females.-General, then local examination with the naked eye and colposcopy had been performed. Internal genitalia was examined by using disposable plastic Casco in adult non-virgin victims only.-Vaginal and anal swabs were collected for the detection of seminal stains. The results of the colposcopic examination revealed a significant difference in both negative and positive results when compared to the other methods of examination (naked eye, swabs, and clothes examination). Colposcopic magnification power with high resolution and illumination light permits to discover microtrauma which may not be discovered with a normal examination by naked eyes. Colposcope seems to be an important noninvasive tool for the examination of children and adults when sexual abuse is suspected. Its documentation could allow for supervision, teaching, and second opinions in an ethically difficult setting. The colposcopic examination should be introduced to all forensic departments in Egypt to be used as a routine aspect of all sexual assault examinations. Future studies are recommended to be conducted on a national scale.

Die Beziehung zwischen Müttern und ihren Söhnen gilt  weitgehend als problemlos. Allerdings hat die Forschung dieser Beziehung nur wenig Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt. Einer der Gründe dafür könnte sein, dass dieses Verhältnis weniger problemlos ist, als nicht nur angenommen, sondern vor allen Dingen auch gewünscht wird. Dieser Tage ist es üblich, dass Frauen weder mit körperlichen Gewalthandlungen noch mit sexuellen Übergriffen auf ihre Kinder in Verbindung gebracht werden, vor allem auch nicht mit ihren Söhnen. Wer die Entwicklung von Männlichkeit verstehen möchte, muss auch in Betracht ziehen, das sexuelle Grenzüberschreitungen während der Kindheit im Leben erwachsene Männer in verdeckter Form zum Nachteil von Frauen und von Männern sich niederschlagen.

Non-therapeutic infant male circumcision is a permanent surgical alteration to the penis that may cause significant physical, sexual and psychological harm. Physical harms include unintended adverse effects of the surgery itself (e.g., complications such as bleeding, infection, excessive removal
of foreskin leaving insufficient shaft skin to accommodate erections, etc.), as well as the inherent loss of healthy, functional tissue. Sexual harms that necessarily follow from circumcision include the loss of all sensation in the foreskin itself, and the loss of all sexual functions that involve the physical manipulation of the foreskin. Additional sexual harms that may follow circumcision include reduced sexual sensation in the remaining penile structures, difficulty with masturbation, increased chafing in both the circumcised man and his sexual partner, as well as reduced overall psychosexual/psychological tension relief and subjective satisfaction. Psychological harms include short-term trauma as well as the potential for long-term emotional disturbances, including sadness, frustration, distress, and anger—akin to post-traumatic stress disorder
(PTSD). In this paper, the extent and severity of these various harms are considered and it is argued that they are more serious and more widespread than is commonly believed.

The notion of problematic pornography use remains contentious in both academic and popular literature. Although the mental health community at large is divided as to the addictive versus non-addictive nature of Internet pornography, substantial numbers of individuals report " feeling " as if their use of Internet pornography is problematic. The present work seeks to construct a model related to problematic pornography use that is clearly derived from empirical literature and that provides directions to be tested in future research. The focus of the present work is on those perceptions as they relate to the overarching experience of moral incongruence in pornography use, which is generally thought of as the experience of having one's behaviors be inconsistent with one's beliefs. To this end, we put forth a model of pornography problems due to moral incongruence. Within this model, we describe how pornography-related problems—particularly feelings of addiction to pornography—may be, in many cases, better construed as functions of discrepancies—moral incongruence—between pornography-related beliefs and pornography-related behaviors. A systematic review of literature and meta-analysis is conducted in order to evaluate support for this model, and the implications of this model for research and clinical practice are discussed.

This thesis takes a holistic approach to examine BDSM and the stigma against those who practice it. Under the roof of the social construction theory, both the sexually normative and the sexually deviant part of Western societies are critically analysed as they both contribute to the maintenance of the stigma against BDSM. Fieldwork for this study was carried out in Stockholm, Sweden.

Photographer Terry Richardson works in a digital aesthetic vernacular that looks more to underground hardcore pornography of yesteryear than traditions associated with the institutionalisation of erotica, as associated with Playboy. And yet his images, in Kibosh and Terryworld, anticipate the contemporary public recalibration of ideas of intimacy as associated with Social Media, tally with contested ideas of the sexualisation of female empowerment as associated with Third Wave Feminism, and can be read as a contemporary phase of Antonio Negri’s theory of art and immaterial labour in their evidencing of the affective labour on the part of the photographer himself. This article, the first such academic writing on Richardson, explores his work in these contexts, and considers Richardson’s return to the figure (over abstraction) as evidencing and exploring of the nature of work, and the nascent eroticisation of working relations, under Western neoliberal regimes.

Gender difference is clearly visible in pattern of crime all over the world. The phenomenon of crime is dominated by males. The gap increases more going up the age, degree of escalation and urbanization. The crimes are usually committed by young urban males. The female criminals are very less in number and this number further declines as the age is increased. There are even less chances of female recidivists.
Due to this the criminological research has been dedicated towards the study of male offenders only and the female criminality was discussed only after the beginning of 19th century.
Many theories have been suggested to explain female deviance. The biological school associates criminality with the physiology of the offender, the psychological school with sexual drives and other emotions, the sociological school with social environment, upbringing and sex role of the offender and others with a combination of the factors. There is yet another group which associates it with the feminist liberation and in turn feminist base it in oppression, marginalisation and victimization of women.
There is a strong need to integrate these varying theoretical perspectives to devise a holistic approach towards understanding the true nature and extant of female deviancy. The integrative approach is a recent trend in criminological research to study the phenomenon by combining multiple variables like societal control and pressures, mental and physical health, occupation, opportunities, economic status, etc.
The statistical data shows a clear gender gap in deviance and males are also dominating those offenses which are associated with females. The gap increases when the age bar is increased. The women commit less acts of violence and almost negligible sexual offences.
These Statistics are not beyond criticism as there is huge difference in actual victimization, reporting and convictions. The methodology of research is also subjective and different from one another.
After the end of 19th century there has been huge increase in female offenders and many women have dominated some crimes which are thought to be masculine crimes like terrorism, serial killings, human and drug trafficking, mafia, gang wars, etc. It has been associated with greater opportunity, women's liberation movement, etc.
In India, as anywhere else, there has been increasing instances of female offenders making their name in the criminal arena. Women have dominated many crime syndicates including terrorism, dacoity, money laundering, mafia, human and drug trafficking, etc.

Research has examined the influence of sexual arousal on different concepts, like rape myth acceptance and child abuse. However, such studies had their focus on clinical or forensic samples. The aim of this study was to show if sexual arousal has an influence on sexual interest in a non-clinical sample. Additionally, the relation between sexual arousal and sexual interest, moderated by sexdrive has been assessed. 62 participants were randomized into the one control group (manipulation by roller coaster story) and one experimental group (manipulation by erotic story). Participants had to fill up questionnaires about their sexual orientation, use of pornography and sexual desire. Implicit measures have been used, like the Implicit Association Test (IAT), a Stroop test and a second (after the manipulation) IAT. Then, Viewing Times were used, where the latencies and the ratings of the sexual attractiveness of the stimuli were assessed. Finally, participants had to indicate the probability that an average man finds a 12 year old girl sexually attractive. Results could show significant group differences for this specific question. Additionally, in both groups, more positive results were found during the second IAT. Both hypotheses could be completely neither rejected nor adopted. Afterwards, the discussion has been made, whether to replicate these findings on a sample with women or not.

The first question that is faced by every individual after birth is if the newborn is male or female. For most of us that is the identity we carry out throughout the life until death. But that is not the same for everybody. There are some amongst us who can not answer that question with certainty. These are the people who can not identify themselves as either male or female. The individuals who are neither male nor female constitute the third gender category known as ‘Hijra’ in Bangladesh.
This research has been conducted on such individuals or Hijras. These people are mostly isolated and marginalized in our society. Hijras usually live in small communities and scattered all around the country. Normally they do not share their social customs with anybody outside their community because of stigmatization and social exclusion. They have formed their own society within the larger society. Within their own community they have a strong social structure. This social structure has given rise to some aspects like special customs, languages and sexual practices.
As they are a part of the larger society, they had to adapt with it. The adaptation process has given rise to some other customs and activities. But in the context of the larger society, they have been stigmatized because of their relatively unusual customs.
This research was carried out in two different areas, Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh and in Sarishabari, Jamalpur; a sub-urban area. In this research, their social structure has been shown. Their customs and adaptation processes along with sexual behavior has also been discussed at length.

The main aim of this article is to point out rape or sexual violence against Jewish women during WWI and the Holocaust. The article tends to support a future effort to research a not very well examined topic of the experience of victims of sexual crimes. Not only Slovak historiography or anthropology or other disciplines has been ignoring this phenomenon for decades for various reasons. However there have been sources, memoirs, documents, and many testimonies of victims, which must be researched, because the ignorance of this particular violence so typical for war conflicts in general has no legitimate reason. Moreover it is important to understand the complexity of WWII and the Holocaust in wholeness, and understanding of sexual violence during this period can help us to have a broader view of WWII and the Holocaust. Last but not least it is our duty to let the victims speak out and stop the stigmatizing the victims of sexual violence.
The study is meant to be only an introduction to a problem of sexual violence during WWII and the Holocaust. It is not trying to be a deep analysis of particular cases of testimonies of the victims of sexual violence, or be an only and exclusive contribution to Slovak historiography. The purpose of this contribution is a general overview of sexual violence, its definition, a discussion about a lack of its research, a presentation of a problematic and complex situation of the victims – Jewish women - of sexual violence during WWII and the Holocaust and different forms of sexual violence as crime done by Nazis, their collaborates, but also inmates in concentration camps or those who were hiding Jewish girls and women before deportation.
The article is as an introduction and support for a new research in the topic of sexual violence during WWII in general. Sexual violence during WWII has been only recently a subject of researchers. With the development of gender studies, holocaust studies and gradual ending of making taboo of sexuality, the time of deeper understanding of sexual violence has come, and we have no more excused to close eyes before such crimes. The long silence of victims, but also researchers, must be stopped, because by this silence society ignores this crime, moreover society somehow legitimizes sexual violence. Only a deeper research can change it. Therefore this brief article about the rape or sexual violence as a phenomenon of war can be an introduction to the enormous, scandalous and difficult topic of sexual violence during WWII and the Holocaust.

The act of taking risks in a sexual context is by no means new. One may think immediately of BDSM (Bondage, Domination and Sadomasochism): its associations with tangible pain and the rituals and lifestyles surrounding it render BDSM a clear example of the profoundness and commonplace nature of the fetishisation of sexual risk. Likewise, the variety of ways in which one may engage in BDSM (and the plethora of reasons one may desire it) also show it to be site open to subjective definition. Interestingly however, there are forms of ‘risk sexualisation’ that occur within urban gay communities such as bareback, bug-chasing and chemsex that have particular processes of psychic risk sexualisation unique to – and entangled with – the historical social positioning of the gay male, thus making them distinct from other forms of sexual risk, while sharing similar terrain.

Understanding how the changing social positioning of the gay male has enabled particular sexual practices or ‘sexualisations’ to occur  is a sensitive affair that requires both an understanding of the political, social and medical discourses that embellish the symbol of the gay male in the cultural imaginary, and an understanding of the psychic process that determine how one psychosexually responds to and internalises information – as a gay male - that may influence their sexual desires and practices.

This paper attempts to satisfy the titular question through looking inward at psychoanalysis as a discipline, specifically the work of Melanie Klein, Freud, Bersani and Dean as well as outward towards the object of study: gay sexual risk. By examining the changing relational dynamic between the discipline and object of study, alongside a critical analysis of how psychoanalysis has - at different points - failed and succeeded in explaining gay desires for sexual risk; this paper hopes to offer an answer that speaks to: the ways in which psychoanalysis has changed in its approach to sexual risk; how it deals with modern actualisations of gay sexual risk, and how well its tools can blend with other forms of analysis in order to temper its own inabilities to account for such actualisations.

Throughout the 20th Century, a number of philosophers, writers, artists and film makers have implied that there is some profound significance to the work of Donatien Alphonse François, the Marquis de Sade (1740-1814). The project at hand is to evaluate the claim that Sade, in some sense, is a philosopher, and to assess what his philosophy amounts to. There are two aspects to this task. Firstly, I will consider the various philosophical interpretations of Sade’s work. This part of the study will serve as a guide into the Sadeian labyrinth, and will establish some of the more central interpretive themes, in particular the claim that Sade’s thought anticipates that of the Nazis, or that he brings early Modern thought to its logical conclusion. Secondly, I will inquire into Sade’s writings themselves. Of particular interest are Sade’s thoughts concerning the nature of sexuality, psychology, and the human condition in general, his critique of conventional morality, and his description of the nature of power.

Perversion is a widely used term, and more often than not, it is misused. Substantive accounts of 'natural' or 'good' sex are used to stigmatise and censure minorities engaging in consensual and harmless sexual practices. One solution may be to deny the normative aspect of perversion, or abandon the term altogether. Yet this will not enable us to reclaim this term from those who abuse it, or to identify the distinctive moral wrong of genuine instances of perversion. Thus, I instead develop a normative account of perversion that is anti-perfectionist and compatible with liberal commitments. I argue that all morally acceptable sex must involve engagement with another autonomous agent, understood and respected as such, and that perversions are practices that subvert this constraint. This approach has the multiple benefits of stigmatising practices that ought to be (and often are not), identifying the distinctive wrongness of genuinely perverted acts, and removing stigma from practices that are unjustifiably denigrated. In this way I hope to reclaim sexual perversion as a thoroughly liberal notion: one that is compatible both with allowing individuals to autonomously choose their own ideal of sexual functioning, and with condemning in the strongest terms those whose behaviour undermines others' ability to do so.

This article explores different conceptualizations of, and debates about, Body Integrity Identity Disorder and Gender Identity Disorder to first examine how these “identity disorders” have been both linked to and distinguished from, the “sexual disorders” of apotemnophilia (the de- sire to amputate healthy limbs) and autogynephilia (the desire to per- ceive oneself as a woman). We argue that distinctions between identity disorders and sexual disorders or paraphilias reflect a troubling hier- archy in medical, social and political discourses between “legitimate” desires to transition or modify bodies (those based in identity claims) and “illegitimate” desires (those based in sexual desire or sexuality). This article secondly and more broadly explores how this hierarchy between “identity troubles” and paraphilias is rooted in a sex-negative, ableist, and cisnormative society, that makes it extremely difficult for activists, individuals, medical professionals, ethicists and anyone else, to conceptualize or understand the desires that some people express around transforming their bodies—whether the transformation relates to sex, gender or ability. We argue that instead of seeking to “explain” these desires in ways that further pathologize the people articulating them, we need to challenge the ableism and cisnormativity that require explanations for some bodies, subjectivities and desires while leaving dominant normative bodies and subjectivities intact. We thus end the article by exploring possibilities for forging connections between trans studies and critical disability studies that would open up options for listening and responding to the claims of transabled people.
