Functional analysis is a universal methodology, which is able to support NPP and I&C design process. The paper proposes an approach to combining the functional analysis process and I&C design process into a single I&C functional design process. Operation of a system is considered as a set of functions providing not only the achievement of goal, but also keeping material and energy balances. A notation for graphical representation of semantic network (hierarchy of functions) describing a system is suggested. This network includes four levels, namely functional goals, abstract functions level, process functions level, and equipment level. The elements of the hierarchy are connected by three kinds of relationships, namely: parent-child, main-support, and cause-consequence. This paper presents the design and analysis of a parallel connected inverter configuration of. The configuration consists of parallel connected three-phase dc/ac inverter. Series resistors added to the inverter output to maintain same current in each inverter of the two parallel inverters, and to reduce the circulating current in the parallel inverters to the minimum. High frequency third harmonic injection PWM (THIPWM) employed to reduce the total harmonic distortion and to make maximum use of the voltage source. DSP was used to generate the THIPWM and the control algorithm for the converter. Selected experimental results have been shown to validate the proposed system.

Modeling diagrams are used in Computer Science and Information Systems courses. Different tools are used for different paradigms of system development. The authors share their perspectives in using different modeling tools in systems analysis and design and database courses. They discuss paradigm related issues in programming languages. They suggest using the diagrams from both the paradigms (procedure centric and object oriented) with a view to enhancing the value of the curricula.

Automatic Transmissions in vehicles are becoming the norm today and with the need to reduce fuel consumption, electric vehicles are increasing in number too. As the vehicles get smarter, transmissions have also felt the need to adapt so as to cope with the demands of the 21st century. Apart from providing the user with different driving modes, vehicles with an Automatic Transmission and electric vehicles have a device called a Park Lock. Park Lock Mechanisms are devices that are fitted to vehicles with an automatic transmission or electric vehicles which can secure the vehicle mechanically in addition to the parking brakes to prevent an unintended movement of the vehicle when the vehicle is brought to a stop. This system can face various kinds of loads coming from the transmission or from the wheel side. So, it is necessary to design a system which can withstand against it. Today, when a park lock mechanism is designed, it is designed in a way that it not only fits one vehicle variant but many variants (these variants can include either front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, vehicles with varying final gear to park lock gear ratios etc). Therefore, one Park Lock Mechanism needs to satisfy various conditions and requirements. Carrying out calculations with different notations for each variant becomes a cumbersome procedure, therefore it is prudent to have one common platform which can do the calculation in the early phases of design. In this paper, a closed form calculationsbased Excel VBA tool can able to estimate the loads coming on to the Park lock mechanism by doing some background calculation is presented followed by the simulation performed using Multi Body Dynamics software ('ADAMS'). Results from MBD tool and a 1D tool are corelated to the test data to gain some confidence on the tool which created in Excel VBA.

Safe surgical practice requires a combination of technical and nontechnical abilities. Both sets of skills can be impaired by intra-operative stress, compromising performance and patient safety. This systematic review aims to assess the effects of intra-operative stress on surgical performance.A systematic search strategy was implemented to obtain relevant articles. MEDLINE, EMBASE, and PsycINFO databases were searched, and 3,547 abstracts were identified. After application of limits, 660 abstracts were retrieved for subsequent evaluation. Studies were included on the basis of predetermined inclusion criteria and independent assessment by 2 reviewers.In all, 22 articles formed the evidence base for this review. Key stressors included laparoscopic surgery (7 studies), bleeding (4 studies), distractions (4 studies), time pressure (3 studies), procedural complexity (3 studies), and equipment problems (2 studies). The methods for assessing stress and performance varied greatly across studies, rendering cross-study comparisons difficult. With only 7 studies assessing stress and surgical performance concurrently, establishing a direct link was challenging. Despite this shortfall, the direction of the evidence suggested that excessive stress impairs performance. Specifically, laparoscopic procedures trigger greater stress levels and poorer technical performance (3 studies), and expert surgeons experience less stress and less impaired performance compared with juniors (2 studies). Finally, 3 studies suggest that stressful crises impair surgeons' nontechnical skills (eg, communication and decision making).Surgeons are subject to many intra-operative stressors that can impair their performance. Current evidence is characterized by marked heterogeneity of research designs and variable study quality. Further research on stress and performance is required so that surgical training and clinical excellence can flourish.

TOD system is an accountability reporting system for officer on duty at the toll gates that are currently used in Mojokerto-Kertosono toll road. TOD system used for anticipating losses resulting from errors or fraud that appears when the toll gates in operation. The new TOD system is an improvement on the existing system. Those improvements are addition of features that do not exist in the old system, namely the management of smallchanges, scheduling and assignment collector officer. System development TOD uses javascript programming language using a web server Node JS. Implementation of the TOD system has reduced the time used to complete the toll attendant reporting up to 50% and also prevents the possibility of falsification of data entered into the system.

In this review paper we compiled and demonstrated the trends and patterns of the research published on ICT Applications in the construction industry over the past two decades (1996-2016), through employing a five phases profiling methodology which generated an acceptable set of 68 out of 202 articles and papers indexed by Elsevier’s Scopus database. This paper reviews the utmost academic ICT applications and proposals/ initiatives in the construction industry taking an advantage of a previously generated research journal on ICT Technologies and Construction Tasks. A resulting classification of 11 categories of ICT Applications as appeared in literature along with their corresponding authors and dates was provided and discussed.

Динамиката на новото дигитално общество създава редица нови предизвикателства пред съвременната сигурност. Днес те се развиват в сложната кибер-физическа смесена реалност, включваща информационното пространство и обективната реалност. В статията е представен методологичен подход за моделно изследване на тези нови заплахи. Използвано е системно моделиране, и анализ, базирано на анкети, интервюта и експертни знания. Последващата вероятностна валидация, се използва за симулационна оценка в динамика на идентифицираните заплахи. Резултатите са допълнително верифицирани с активното участие на човешкия фактор. Предложеният подход създава добра основа за анализ на бъдещите предизвикателства пред сигурността в дигиталното общество.

Thesis devotes to the formulation and solution of scientific problems for the efficiency estimation of target search and detection algorithms at radio-electronics sighting complexes, i.e.: development of estimation tools for system design. These tools will cut down the expenses of time and material resources. In thesis the following problems are solved . The structurally-automatic model, the Marcov model and logical-probability model of target search and detection algorithms are developed. The technique for efficiency estimation of target search and detection algorithms at radio-electronics sighting complexes has been created. For modeling of a target search and detection algorithms at radio-electronics sighting complexes models of fault-tolerance systems with combined structural redundancy and with majority structure capable to reconfiguration are created . Choice and comparative analysis of methods for construction of mathematical models of fault-tolerance systems with taking into account of aging effect and arbitrary process duration distribution of technical service are executed . Obtained results were implemented in Lviv Radio Engineering Institute and into training process for the experts engaged in the designing of radio-electronics systems and complexes. Phronetic organizational research is an approach to the study of management and organizations focusing on ethics and power. It is based on a contemporary interpretation of the Aristotelian concept phronesis, usually as ‘prudence’. Phronesis is the ability to think and act in relation to values, to deliberate about ‘things that are good or bad for humans’ in the words of Aristotle (1976:1140a24–b12). Phronetic organizational research effectively provides answers to the following four value-rational questions, for specific problematics in management and organization studies: 1. Where are we going with this specific management problematic? 2. Who gains and who loses, and by which mechanisms of power? 3. Is this development desirable? 4. What, if anything, should we do about it?

Without system analysis, there won’t be system development, inadvertently without proper system development plan for a new system or upgrade of an old system, the organizational growth may be hindered. System analysis is normally done by a person known as the System Analyst. This role has been evolving and it encompasses many sub-units that makes it unique. Though the title “System Analyst” is ambiguous, its roles are not farfetched from real world implementation of an optimal system for organizational growth. Most organizations in all sectors; commerce, not‐for‐profit, and government are now fundamentally dependent on their information systems (IS) and information technology (IT). The boom in the penetration to virtually all the industries creates an increasing demand for a system Analyst. A System Analyst can also be referred to as Project Managers in some instances while they have some other descriptions in other instances depending on the organizational behavior and construct. This paper follows a descriptive research approach. The authors explore the pervasive and generic roles of a system Analyst as regards Information System. In as much as the name “System analyst” seems ambiguous, their roles thereof needs to be taking cognizance of, for better context, usage and accordance of proper respect. It is recommended that stakeholders in the field Information Technology, and other Engineering fields accords and recognizes the emerging role of a system analyst in order to optimally represent or implement projects.

The target of this research is to reconstruct the social structure of the Kola uezd Sámi in 16th – 18th centuries. This research in its base contains the systems approach and is interdisciplinary. The specified target is ethnological and it determines the circle of questions that the source give answers to. The sources, on the other hand, are historical and often contain mass material. Thus, the methods of working with the sources are closer to
the quantitative methods of social history and historical demography. In order to correctly understand the “answers of the sources” and in order to process them, we have also used methods of the source criticism and historical anthropology. The work with the spatial reflection of the model was based on the methods of historical geography. The “source answers”
that were obtained as the result have been interpreted using ethnological and sociological methods as was needed. The general method of the whole research was modeling.

Fire is as destructive as it is useful. Without a proper pro-active approach to preventing fire outbreaks, the results could be extremely disastrous when they occur. Thus, there is a need for a fast and convenient way of reporting fire incidents. The growing usage of smartphones provides a way of equipping the public with a means of reporting fire incidents to ensure prompt response and proper management of the incidents. In this paper, we analyze the manual process of reporting fire outbreaks and design an automated FEAP-a mobile application, to enable the public to quickly alert nearest fire emergency units of any possible fire incidents. We developed FEAP with the aid of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) phases and Unified Modeling Language (UML) which was used as a model to visualize the design view of the application. An Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) was used for database design and a simple Graphical User Interface (GUI) prototype of the proposed application was designed. Our work highlights a practical application of analysis and design concepts in developing software to provide an efficient solution in reporting fire outbreaks.

The purpose of this study is to examine factors affecting user security concerns among social media users in the educational sector. The researchers employed a quantitative research approach because the subject matter needs further definition. This aids researchers in determining a suitable research design and data collection method, as well as to examine the hypotheses and proposition developed in the current study. The researchers also used the quantitative method to test hypotheses used to propose a link between factors associated with social media, information security, and user awareness. Using convenience sampling of 338 social media users selected randomly and including students and staff members of the University of Bahrain, as well as individuals from outside of the University of Bahrain. The findings reveal that, both user awareness and user knowledge have strong influences on user attitude to behave securely when using such social media. User knowledge has an indirect effect on individual intention to behave securely. In addition, researchers find that respondents within a field of study related to information security have a higher awareness, which is reflected in their intention. Finally, intention alone may not be sufficient to instruct the level of awareness a user has regarding social media security concerns.
