I.

Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students are expected to
a. Identify the verb in the story.
b. Show teamwork and cooperation through participating in every group activity.
c. Relate the story shawl for Anita in real life situation through a story role play.

Topic: “A shawl for Anita” by Lolita M. Andrada.
References: English learners materials textbook pp.440-449
Materials: Answer sheet, visual aids, cartolina, marker and shawl.

III. Procedures:

A. Preparation
- Prayer

Before we tackle a new lesson this morning, i
want you to observe first our house rules:
1. Do not answer me in chorus, if you have an
answer, raise a right hand.
2. Do not talk to your seatmate if it is not
necessary.
3. Requesting everybody to cooperate during
our class activities and class discussion.

B. Motivation
This time, I will group you into 4 groups. Each
group will choose a group name. I have here
for cartolina and mark pens. All you have to do
is to write your opinion as a group to the
situation i gave.

Choose one representative to present your


work in front. But before that, i will show you
first the rubrics for you to be guided.

Rubrics:
Corporation - 2 flowers
Punctuality - 2 flowers
Delivery - 3 flowers
Content - 3 flowers
10 flowers
Ana's mother is hard worker person, in the age
of 70; she still wanted to work in their farm,
because for her stops working, she will stop
living. You are Ana, would you still allow your
mother to work in her old aged? Defend your
answer.

Each group will be given a shawl azure score


sheet. All flowers you've earn will be pasted on
your shawl. Every correct answer in my
questions will also receive a flower. The group
who will receive more flowers, will be the
winner and will receive a prize after my
discussion.

I will give you 5 minutes to do the activity.

Our topic this morning is all about the story of


"A Shawl for Anita" by Lolita M. Andrada
identifying verb. But before that, we will know
first our objectives for us to be guided during
our discussion.

D. Unlocking of difficulties

a paper, get it and go to the board then pause

Each group will be given an assigned frame,
soon to answer about the story "A Shawl for
Anita"

Group 2 to be assigned in frame 2.
Group 3 to be assigned in frame 3.
Group 4 to be assigned in frame 4.
