SPOTLIGHT
We will be holding a series of own clothes day in the next few weeks, continuing on from todays Be seen in Green Day in support of the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital appeal. Our next own clothes day, on Fri 18th Nov, will be in support of the BBCs Children in Need appeal where children will be allowed to wear their own clothes, along with something spotty, for a 1 donation. Following this we begin our collections for the Christmas Fair. On Fri 25th we will be asking children to bring in bottles for the tombola stall, for example bubble bath, drinks, sauces, so they can wear their own clothes and Fri 2nd Dec donations of good quality toys and games will allow children to wear their own clothes instead of their school uniform. The final own clothes day takes place on Thurs 8th Dec, the day of the Christmas fair, when children can bring in donations of cakes or biscuits in order to wear their own clothes.
CHILDRENS CORNER Starting next week, Reception are very lucky to have a teacher coming in from Lancasterian School to teach us sign language each week. Each Monday afternoon, the children will learn how to sign lots of words we use often in class such as 'please', 'thank you' and 'hello'. We will also learn how to sign some of the songs we love to sing in Reception. So look our for your children signing these things at home! ************ Dont forget to check out our blogs on www.barlowhallblogs.net and keep up with what your child is doing in class. Dont forget that the weekly newsletter can also be found on there
