PHẢN ĐỐI:
Nowadays, rapid technological change has had an
influence on communication between people. Many are of
the opinion that technology has done more harm than
good in relationships.I find this view plausible on the
following grounds.
Firstly, the availability of new communication technologies
can also have the result of isolating people and
disheartening real interaction. For example, many young
people choose to make friends online rather than mix with
their peers in the real world, and these ‘virtual’
relationships are poor substitutes for real
friendships. Another case in point is that teenagers prefer
to stay at home and watch movies alone rather than hang
out with friends for activities such as drinking milk tea and
chatting. Furthermore, when parents are busy, they
frequently leave their children alone at home with a
technical device, so the young are more prone to
depression and loneliness today.
Moreover, living in a high-tech world makes several
people more superficial. Many individuals are skeptical of
pedestrians as a result of greater knowledge of fraud in
the media. Hence, even when witnessing someone in an
accident, we are hesitant to assist because we are afraid it
is a ruse to plunder.
On the other hand, some opponents claim that the
availability of new communication technologies can widen
relationships. Conversely, this is not justified since, due to
a lack of face-to-face interaction, we cannot find a
genuine friend.
In conclusion, technology has certainly
revolutionized communication between people. We need
to be seriously concerned about several of the negative
outcomes of this revolution to prevent them.
