With over 10 years of teaching experience, I have developed a strong proficiency in delivering high-quality education and fostering academic excellence among my students through this interdisciplinary approach.
Throughout my teaching career, I have actively utilized various teaching and assessment methodologies in the IB curriculum and International British Curriculum. I take pride in my ability to design and develop both high tech and low-tech educational resources. I have been actively involved in training international teachers in the Czech Republic and Sub-Saharan Africa region, particularly in the areas of digital technologies, differentiated learning, and inclusive education. These experiences have allowed me to collaborate with educators from different international schools in Europe and Africa and gather valuable resources to enhance my teaching practices. My teaching practices involve hands-on activities that encourage learners to empirically learn using various senses.
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have been the Head of the Science Department for the past 4 years, overseeing a team of 13 members. In this role, I have successfully fostered a horizontally and vertically collaborative environment where we work cohesively to meet targets and plan various departmental activities. My strong teamwork skills and commitment to meeting deadlines make me a valuable asset to any educational institution. My key achievements include: Building a science website to enhance and fit in of new teachers in the department and equip them with required resources and support with ease, Introduced a science exhibition, and participating in international science essay writing (the Science Olympiad ) both in school and at the international level. Collaborate with STEM in East Africa who sponsored our science fair projects, led group 4 projects and science information nights where learners showcase their skills learned in science to their parents.
