team natsu vs. the most inconvenient rainstorm ever ☔

✧ natsu is in pure denial. he’s soaking wet, teeth chattering, but still trying to look cool like this rainstorm isn’t wrecking him. tries to heat himself up with his flames, but all it does is steam off his wet clothes. acting like nothing’s wrong, but is secretly wishing for a fireball and a blanket.

✧ lucy is completely done with everything. drenched to the bone, her hair clinging to her face, she keeps muttering to herself about how she’s definitely going to catch a cold and it’s Natsu’s fault. the rain isn’t even phased by her complaints, but she is 100% ready to lose it.

✧ gray is miserable, standing there completely shirtless (per usual) and freezing his ass off. tries to make a makeshift ice shelter, but it just melts under the rain. completely ignores his coldness, but when his body shivers hard enough to make his teeth rattle, it’s obvious he’s not doing okay.

✧ erza is the one person unbothered by the rain. totally dry, not even a single drop of water on her. tougher than this storm, no big deal, she’s just standing there with her arms crossed, looking like she could fight the weather itself. someone asks her how she’s not cold, she just says, “I’ve been through worse.” legend.

✧ happy is soaking wet and just so tired of this whole situation. he’s whining about how his fur is all matted down, and every time he tries to fly, he’s weighed down by the water. finally just curls up in Lucy’s arms, shivering, not caring about anything except staying warm.

✧ carla is so done with the rain, but she’s still trying to keep it together. her wings are soaked, and she’s lowkey freaking out on the inside while trying to act like it’s fine. she’s grumpy about the whole thing but also secretly wants someone to give her a towel.

✧ wendy is doing her best to help everyone. keeps trying to heal them to warm them up, but the rain is just too much. after a while, she gives up, just sticking close to Carla for warmth, trying to stay as positive as possible, but this is honestly a lot for her.

✧ finally, when the rain stops? silence. they’re all soaked, standing there completely miserable and shivering. lucy’s cussing under her breath, natsu is sulking, gray’s regretting every life decision, erza’s somehow still dry, and the group just stands there, processing the trauma of this unexpected storm.

i’m on a gorgeous island but the rain decided to punch me in the face and i had to walk in it for 10 minutes with no shelter. i was soaking wet, freezing cold, and honestly just wanted to curl up and think of natsu in this exact situation. idk, this felt very fairy tail filler episode to me. anyways, this is my trauma coping mechanism now

After everything they've been through, specifically with a Certain Dragon, you would THINK Freid/Fried/Freed Justine would write an enchantment to protect the guild regarding this but he didn't SO this is what I propose he should've done with the advice of Mavis' strategic mind (after the final battle ofc. Like how she had the final post-mortem spell on makarov, Justine should've been inexplicably compelled to do something like this)

Interesting. Though to be fair the possibility of a fused human-exceed with a penchant for brainwashing people and their magic walking into the guild looking for their crush is not exactly high on their list.

I swear Brainwashed!Jellal was just a total Fairy Tail Guild nerd somewhere in there. During his monologuing on the Tower of Heaven, he knew wayyy to much geek-level knowledge about their names and magic and personalities and stuff. He even knew Natsu's dad's name, and said "you're even foolhardier than the rumors say." The characters he was visibly most surprised by (if I'm remembering right) during his Edgelord Chess game were Lucy, who'd barely joined yet, and Juvia, who'd yet to join (but who he still seemed to know the bare basics about, probably because of Fairy Tail's recent clash with Phantom Lord which the Magic Council had questioned them about) when they pulled off a Unison Raid.
