What is this, 1671?

The six women arrested were part of a group called Youth Demand. They're planning on taking action in London every day of April to protest the government's continued support of genocide in Gaza and approval of climate wrecking plans like the third heathrow runway. They have a fundraiser you can support for them to be able to cover things such as transport, food and legal costs, they're less than £5,000 away from their target

Bernadette Devlin was an Irish feminist, socialist, and republican, and at age 21, she became the youngest female Member of Parliament. She spoke passionately, eloquently, intelligently, and unforgivingly in support of Catholics during the civil rights movement in Northern Ireland. In 1969, after the keys to New York City were presented to her, Devlin gave them to the Black Panther Party, because she better identified with them and their plight than with the conservative Irish-Americans she had met on her visit to the U.S. In 1972, the British Home Secretary made a defense for the British soldiers who shot 26 unarmed Irish civilians during the Bogside Massacre. In the middle of his speech, Devlin stood up and punched him. She stated that it was “coldly, and calmly done” and that she did it to deliver “a simple, proletarian protest.” When asked if she was going to apologize, she responded, “I’m just sorry I didn’t get him by the throat.”

last week two ambulances, a fire truck, a UN vehicle and around 16 rescue workers were dispatched to save people crushed under the rubble after a bombing in rafah (do you remember rafah? one of biden's red lines.) they disappeared, and due to israeli tanks nobody could enter the area and nobody knew what had happened to them.

a few days ago after the tanks left the vehicles were discovered crushed and buried under the sand, and one rescue worker's body was recovered. israel admitted to targeting them. and then yesterday the rest of the workers' bodies were recovered in a mass grave. one of the corpses had wire around one foot, indicating torture and interrogation, several handcuffed, all of them buried in their clearly marked uniforms and gloves.

cnn reported this story alongside like five other incidents of israel targeting humanitarian workers this past week to little outrage because the workers killed were palestinian and not international, and because israel has been regularly killing humanitarian workers.

but for the PRCS (the palestinian red crescent society), the same organization that hind rajab called desperately from her car around this time last year, one of the few that struggled to save lives throughout the war even when it got their workers killed by israeli forces, these are fathers, sons and loved ones who spent a genocide digging people out of rubble with no equipment and trying to save lives:

all of them were buried in a careless mass grave of rescue workers, found after a week of pleading from their loved ones and radio silence from their murderers and those who enable them.

obviously haaretz is haaretz and has a vested interest in maintaining the state of israel but it's still so fucking insane that half the headlines they publish if you tried to put out those stories in an american newspaper it would 1) immediately get killed by an editor 2) get you fired or 3) if somehow against all odds actually published would get you arrested and deported

you literally could not print this in an american publication. you say this on an american college campus and get hunted every single day for two years. to be fair they HAVE been sanctioned and cut off by the israeli government but like that does not change the fact that the new york times simply would not print these stories

The reason why Trump wants to eliminate the department of education is so that more Yanks can become dumber and then be manipulated into joining the army, so when they kill a brown ir black child, we can only blame it on Trump for cutting the DOE and not the people who pulled the trigger, because we have to pity the poor little Yankee bebbes more than the people they slaughter, you understand

Nuremberg defense of "just following orders" replaced with the New York defense of "school didn't teach me otherwise."

every single article, post or mention of a Muslim or Latino person on a Visa or Green Card getting dragged off the street by masked men in broad daylight has the same exact comments: "wow, they're gonna start doing this to citizens soon." some of these people have lived here since they were 8 months old and have lived here for over 30 years. it's very telling that Americans are still are managing to separate them in their head from a "citizen" and that their outrage will be far greater when it's someone who "actually lives here" as if 3 decades in the same country shouldn't qualify you for the same rights as everyone else.

to be fair, I don't think these people would actually see Muslims (usually and especially Arabs) as "actual citizens" even if they were literally US citizens.

The murder of Ayşenur Eygi by the IDF was described repeatedly as one of a Turkish and American dual citizen.

palestinians in gaza are ultimately protesting to resume ceasefire negotiations which netanyahu pulled out of.

individuals among the protests protesting Hamas are not the whole. its not unified some are just asking to stop the war and asking the world to step in, but its sick seeing zionists only focus on rhetoric about hamas and not rhetoric by the protesters calling israel an aggressor in these western articles. "You claim to care about gazans but are ignoring their protest against Hamas" no You are ignoring their protests by selectively choosing what to focus on to promote this idea that all of Gaza shares this view about Hamas (they don't)

So im not falling for the "Pro-Palestinians dont care for Gazans" bullshit when these same people dont care about gazans have been generating propaganda that all Gazans are complicit and all are justifiably targets. So what is it? That Gaza is a place where there is political diversity or theyre all terrorists?

Some of these protesters said theyre protesting both Hamas and israel which is misguided but these zionists are acting like this is sole proof that "Hamas is solely to blame even Gazans think so!" while at the same time spreading videos of Gazans in support of Hamas and saying "see how these civilians support Hamas! theyre all guilty! look how they surrounded these poor hostages!!!" what is it?

im sorry but there also has to be something said that part of Israels goal was to create animosity towards Hamas. This is what america did when it bombed Vietnam with napalm to try to turn the population against the Viet Cong. Its what sanctions are for, so a discontented population can turn on the government when the fault is the sanctions in the first place.

Curiously im sure zionists are going to ignore one of the leading demonstrators saying that the reason he started protesting is because of the new Israeli eviction orders

Also even if they're protesting hamas it's because after nearly 2 years of bombing, they lost faith in the entire world to intervene so they're grasping at straws. You literally don't understand the extreme desperation Palestinians in Gaza are experiencing they are running out of options.

A lot of people might be protesting hamas as a government but disarmament is actually very very unpopular among Palestinians as a whole. There is nuances and layers you don't understand about this and plus I really don't think Israel supporters have room to talk because after months of this literally no one in Israel is doing any meaningful change lmao. Plus this is what happens when Palestinians protest hamas, they'll get bombed either way:

Anyways here's Muhammad Shehada's thoughts which I largely agree with.
