When people criticize the fetishization of MLM, a frequent defense both is saying that it's not like other fetishization of minorities because "It has no real world effect, it'd just women enjoying fiction, why are you policing what women can enjoy?" And what I have to say to that is that is factually incorrect. A quick google search reveals stories of women harrassing gay men because they feel a sense of entitlement and believe they cannot cause real harm, (an interlinked phenomena with gay men harrassing women for similar reasons). When looking at these stories, it becomes clear that the fetishization of gay men isn't just online or fictional behaviour that doesn't affect people, it unsurprisingly has the same objectifying and dehumanizing effects as fetishization against any other group and must therefore be treated with the same level of seriousness.

I know most people don't care about anything unless it has to do with the U.S. but can we please start talking about the Canadian election.

In the man version, no such thing. Self compassion is not allowed. You've got to brutally grind yourself into the shape of a Real Man or die trying, but you don't get to *enjoy* being the Real Man because comfort is for girrrrrrlllssss.

I think the bug is the inbox INCORRECTLY attributing anons to neighboring, logged-in asks.

Which is still a bad bug! Considering it makes it look like a long-time follower of mine sent me a spam ask.

And is worse if, say, one of these was anon hate.

But it's NOT the anon's real identity. It's a neighboring ask asker's identity

So if you have anon hate in your inbox that looks like it's attributed to your dear friend, who sends you lovely asks all the time, it was Not them.

i hate when people "increase the quality" of old film like adding colour and higher resolution. no glup shitto, no! the film makers designed the set and colours to look good at low resolution with a camera that cant have colour! at high resolution you see the strings and how bad the practical effects actually are! they make them good by designing them WITH THE CAMERA IN MIND! wonder why colourized films have weird colours? because they chose colours that have good VALUE not hue, so that ugly bright yellow would look beautiful
