like. Be so for real . Why did misogyny exist for thousands of years as a globalized social force? Men benefit astronomically from misogyny. Under a misogynist society men have privilege, socially-tied life servants to cater to their whim that they can beat legally when they're mad. Misogyny strictly and specifically benefits men. Why wouldn't young stupid men want that. It takes incredible mental fortitude, strength of soul, and utter unselfishness to resist a mode of thinking that tells you "actually you're the pinnacle of your society and everyone should listen to you and cater to you and suck your dick whenever you want". It's fucking incredible that any men are feminists. Any infinitesimal harm that men are dealt under patriarchy is entirely outweighed by its material benefits to their specific gender.
Can men be feminists? Yes. But I'm urging you to think about how easy it is for men under patriarchy. And how individualistic and selfish American society is. It will never be the easier or safer choice for men to be feminists. It will never be "in their best interests"

My favorite thing about the current wave of gimmick blogs is watching them get involved in beef, while in character as a bit that was already 3/10 at best. That's pure Tumblr right there.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday aimed at undoing many of the changes made during the racial reckoning movement, including the restoration of monuments, and the removal of so-called “anti-American ideology” from national museums and other federal properties.
The White House said the order was part of “restoring truth and sanity to American history by revitalizing key cultural institutions and reversing the spread of divisive ideology.”
The executive order calls for the removal of “improper, divisive, or anti-American ideology from the Smithsonian and its museums, education and research centers, and the National Zoo,” pointing to exhibits that address the United States’ history of racism and celebrate the transgender rights movement.
“The prior administration pushed a divisive ideology that reconstrued America’s promotion of liberty as fundamentally flawed, infecting revered institutions like the Smithsonian and national parks with false narratives,” the order reads.
Trump’s directive also calls on the Secretary of the Interior to restore statues and other monuments that have been “improperly removed or changed in the last five years to perpetuate a false revision of history or improperly minimize or disparage certain historical figures or events.”

This is a lot like the Zak Cope thing I brought up before, in that on the one hand it makes sense that not many people brought this up as it was happening—I doubt most people who cite that article like keep up with them in particular, or saw it as much beyond a simple injunction against academic utilization of de colonial language—but just like him it was ‘the Left’s response’ to Oct 7th that triggered this about face (which is kind of generous, calling it that)
