Our California adventure!

 A few weeks ago me and a few of my friends were discussing how much we love traveling and how we all want to go to California together someday.. just as we were talking about this little dream of ours Lindsey's dad walks in the room and says "hey, I have some business meetings in San Diego, why don't we all just drive down there and you guys can go to the beach!" at first we couldn't tell if he was serious or not until he told us to pick out a date and then call our parents! trying to maintain our excitement and hope that this would work out we chose a date and each of us talked to our parents and before we knew it we were on the road to Cali!

{ Me, Shae and Linds }

   To make the trip even better/cheaper we stayed at Lindsey's cousin, Camille's house which also meant that Lindsey's cute cousin Joyzee was going to come since we were going to be staying with her sister!! Their kids are so cute and their house is the perfect California home!

Day 1: Mission Beach

We really wanted to make to make sure that while we were there we went to Mission beach because it is supposed to be the fun, party beach, which it totally was, we loved it!!

Later that night we went to Old Town SanDiego and visited the Mormon Battalion which was so neat!

While we were there, Me, Shae and Linds went to the Whaley House, its this super old house where a bunch of people died and committed suicide and they take you on tours, it was so creepy!!

{ We were trying hard not to seem freaked out! }

Day 2: Balboa Park/ Coronado Island

On Tuesday we spent a lot of time at Balboa park going to Museums and just walking around then later that afternoon we drove over to Coronado Island. the water was freezing but it was still fun to jump in the waves!

Day 3: Gaslamp

Apparently there is an awesome shopping area in San Diego that i had never heard of called Gaslamp.. its a weird name and it doesn't have anything to do with that but it is the coolest place i have ever been shopping at! You really felt like you were in New York with people everywhere and tall buildings with taxis all over the place, this was one of my favorite days!

Us three all got matching shirts and wore them shopping, a lot of people commented on them :)

After shopping that day we drove home :( we were so sad the trip was over but we were happy because of all the fun times and memories we shared, hopefully we will be able to go again next Summer!

July the 4

4th of July was fun this year! We actually spent it here in the heat instead of going up to the cabin, but i still loved it! we were able to spend it with our cousins and my aunt and uncle who recently returned home from a mission, and then of course all of my siblings ( including Andrea and Jeremy! ). Everyone came over and we had some yummy Hungry Howie's pizza and then after dark we all went out on the street to make some explosions:)

Me and Kell with our Sparklers!

us Hansen's really know how to make things explode ;)

Lake Powell

This post is long overdue being as Lake Powell was actually last month, but nonetheless here it is!
Lake Powell, as always, never disappoints! the past three years i have gone now have been such a blast and i am so lucky to have family and neighbors who bring me along! This year was a little different though because the Millers didn't come but instead, our couins, the Rindlisbacher's did! it was awesome to see them and spend time with them there! every time i am with them i am reminded of how much fun they are!

 I love Holly and Kell!

 Tubing is always a good time..

And these cute little girls LOVED the "Buddha Tube"

Sandhill is the best! Even though it gets tiring to climb its always worth it when you get to the top!

see what I mean? running down is the best part!

even though Aunt Joni voted strongly against it, the guys went cliffjumping ;)

Stromboli's!

Uncle David spent most of his time painting an amazing picture of Lake Powell!

I love Lake Powell! such an amazing trip filled with amazing people and memories!
