"Rockin' Robin... tweet, tweet, tweet."
Guess who finally grew up and decided to get a big girl job? yes, you have guessed correctly, me! I landed a perfect job at the cutest little vintage ice cream shop called Rock'n Robyn (the owner's name really in Robyn). I am so excited! Not having to stress over when the next babysitting job would come around, so i could make sure i have gas for my car is unimaginable. I started training this past Thursday and so far everything has gone pretty smooth. The girls there are super nice and our manager is the most easy-going person ever. Luckily i am pretty skilled at scooping ice cream, but i have to say I am a little challenged when it comes to the register. So many different buttons for so many different types of orders, and not to mention figuring out discounts and coupons gets to be a real pain. Hopefully i will get the hang of things though, because apparently the first few months we are on probation.. so if i screw up big time i could get booted. I'm just glad that their main focus is on being really outgoing and friendly towards the customers and i think i can handle that, but who knows, i guess we'll see how this turns out. If you are ever in the area stop by and say hello! I promise to give you an extra big scoop. Wish me luck! :)

evening at the theatre
Saturday night my parents took Shae and I out for dinner and a show! We went to my favorite restaurant, Oregano's, where we had the yummiest deep dish Chicago style pizza. We then went to watch one my friends, yes, one of my very good friends, Alyssa, perform in Bye, Bye, Birdie at Hale theatre. After all these years of attending these performances i finally got to go to one where i knew one of the actors! Alyssa did an outstanding job playing the lead. Bye, Bye, Birdie is one of my favorite musicals, but i've never seen a better Kim McAfee. I have some serious respect for those who can go out and sing, dance, and act in front of large crowds of people. Even if i was talented I wouldn't last one second on stage with all eyes on me. But lucky for us there are people like Alyssa who are great at what they do and are kind enough to let us enjoy it :)
