TODAY I SMILED...
~ Winning $20 in today’s contest at work.
We work hard to earn our contest ticket by closing pledge promises, and only 10(out of 25)people could win one on Friday and one on Saturday. I won one on both days! Yep, I rock that much! Out of 20 tickets, only 7 won prizes. And I won a very cool $20! That means I can splurge for another bag of nacho cheese Doritos, jar of kosher spear dill pickles, and a good size bag of shelled almonds!
~ Seeing big patches of green grass throughout the city, now that this week-end's weather has melted so much snow.
~ Our percentage of closed calls today was so high, we were able to leave work 4 hours early.

Stare down,
TODAY I SMILED…
~ Watching Smokie and a squirrel check out each other nose-to-nose on opposite sides of the front window
~ A beautiful Cardinal, the ruby of the bird world, flies onto the porch railing while I look at the snow outside.
~ A 10:00 PM fire alarm at work breaks up the monotony and gets us all huddled up as a group outside

Boss Time, Day Off, Calender Girl
Today I Smiled...
~ Watching Bruce Springsteen, my favorite singer, perform Super Bowl's half-time show.
~ Chilling out on a day off work. Our department had today off, worked yesterday, so we wouldn't anger people at home over and over and over as they try to party and watch the big game.
~ Seeing Sara smile. She attended a birthday party for one of her best friends, Marissa, and left with a cute party gift -a 2009 little girl's wall calender.

My sister Carole and niece Sara
